From Strahan: World Heritage Morning Cruise on Gordon River with Lunch

This was the cruise of a lifetime for us! There was so much variety packed in the itinerary, the time went so fast, but it didn't feel rushed at all. So many highlights: Cruising up Macquarie Harbour to Hell's Gates - Then actually getting out to the ocean! The peaceful Gordon River. The Prison Island walk. The superb lunch. For me it was the freedom to walk all around the boat and to have lively conversations with the Captain! He was excellent with his on-board commentary and offered many insights to the local area, while encouraging everyone to support local businesses. The crew were also highly professional and friendly and helpful. Overall the cruise is a must do for anyone traveling to Tasmania. Highly recommended!

This cruise was 5 star from start to finish! Well organised and professional crew, beautiful lunch and other food/ drink available. The tour on Sarah Island was a highlight for us, the guide was an amazing storyteller and gave us a fun and also factual commentary that held our attention from the start. The boat was super comfortable and we were free to roam about even to the pilot cockpit and have a chat with him . Would highly recommend the Red Boat as the family pride was obvious. Thanks for a superb day on Gordon River!

Although we weren't blessed with fine weather the crew more than made up for our misfortune by keeping us informed and entertained throughout the cruise. Visibility was poor however we still managed to keep to schedule and made all the promised stops and guided tours. Well done everyone!

We lucked out with a stunning day - clear blue and calm. But the highlight was the staff engagement - enthusiastic, knowledgeable and entertaining. How wonderful to be with a family owned business who had played such a part in saving this important and beautiful area from destruction!!

The cruise was a walk through our colonial past with a visit to Sarah Island and a history lesson on the creation of the World Heritage Gordon Franklin Wild Rivers National Park by those with a historical connection. Truely the highlight of our Tasmanian sojourn.

Loved everything. The boat, the friendly professional staff, the guide on Sarah Island was exceptional - Josh - loved the quality commentary on the boat with the useful evocative images. Captain Riley was incredibly accommodating- and wishing the family all the best for the future.
