We had an amazing experience! The tour was very well organized, and our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the journey enjoyable. Our hop on hop off experience was wonderful. The bus was always on time. It was a very wet and gloomy day, so we couldn't see much of the sites, however our driver Angus was so entertaining that we didn't feel the effects of the gloomy day. Angus made the tour very enjoyable. He happily answered our questions and made us feel so welcome.

Blue Mountain is majestic, magnificent, and mgical! It's a beauty to behold. The trip is well organized. Mayuko did a superb job. She explains everything well. I love the fun facts! She's very patient! Thank you to Nihasan our bus driver for the smooth ride!

Explore the Blue Mountains from top to bottom! This pass gives you unlimited rides on all Scenic World attractions: Railway, Skyway, Cableway, and the Boardwalk.

No matter how you get there, the views are incredible. Choose the scenic cable car ride or the world's steepest train, going up at a 52-degree angle.

Great view from the top, but the Skyway ride takes it to the next level. Katoomba Falls, the Three Sisters, Mt. Solitary, and Jamison Valley; see them all as you cross the valley.

Want to see the rainforest? Take the Scenic Walkway. It's an easy 10-20 minute walk on a raised path that connects the train and cable car stations.

If you’re craving more, consider upgrading to an all-day hop-on hop-off pass or an all-inclusive guided tour to hidden gems and local stories.

What to expect

Enjoy unlimited rides on all four Scenic World attractions:

Scenic Railway: Tilt back 52 degrees as you descend into ancient rainforest in a glass-roofed carriage. It’s a short but thrilling ride that kids love and adults won’t forget.

Scenic Skyway: Glide 270 meters over the canopy with views of Katoomba Falls, Jamison Valley, and the iconic Three Sisters. Step onto the glass floor if you dare—or enjoy the same views from the solid deck.

Scenic Cableway: Australia’s largest aerial cable car takes you smoothly down into the valley. With wide windows and level boarding, it’s the most accessible option for families and wheelchair users.

Scenic Walkway: Wander along a 2.4-kilometer boardwalk through Jurassic-age rainforest, shaded by towering trees and alive with bird calls. It’s the calm contrast to the adrenaline of the rides.

Accessibility

This experience is not accessible by wheelchair.

Infants and small children must be held by a guardian as baby seats are not provided on the Railway, Skyway, or Cableway.

The Cableway and Skyway are both stroller-friendly experiences. For safety reasons, strollers are not allowed on the Scenic Railway. Stroller access is limited on the longer routes of the Scenic Walkway due to steep gradients and multiple stairs.

Additional information

Elderly people with cardiovascular disease, vertigo, fear of heights, and pregnant women are not recommended to join this activity.

Please bring along comfortable shoes and clothes, sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses, as well as bottled water. During the cooler seasons (June-August) you must also bring along warmer clothes.

Scenic World is an all-weather attraction, rides will still operate in case it rains. The Railway, Skyway, and Cableway cabins are enclosed to provide shelter. Rain ponchos and umbrellas are available for purchase onsite.

For guests arriving with private vehicles, covered parking is available onsite for free.

Important: Stop at the ticket office at 283 Bathurst Road, Katoomba, before boarding the bus. This is the only place to redeem your combo for both the bus and Scenic World tickets. You’ll also receive your guidebook and the entry code needed for Scenic World rides. The ticket office is open every day, from 8:30am to 3pm.
