This is a great tour because it gives you three different experiences of the crypts of Rome. The transfers between the sites was perfect as you also get to see the Appian Way and Aurelian Walls

Muy buen guía, educado y atento. No obstante, tuvimos que compartir autobús de firma no programada, no big deal. Sí creo importante que los guías sean especialmente respetuosos a la hora de hablar de la iglesia y prudentes en cuanto a emitir juicios por ejemplo de cuál es la basílica más importante de Roma. Ambis lo fueron, pero subrayo la especial importancia de serlo de forma escrupulosa.

Bien organizado. Guia excelente en las catacumbas. Buena combinación con el bus turístico para tener cierta autonomía. No recomiendo la cripta de los capuchinos si se es un poco aprensiva.

Heather was incredible! She shared so much knowledge in a humorous, memorable way. The visit to the church at the conclusion of the tour was an unexpected highlight. A must do.

This tour was absolutely amazing and was so informative! Our tour guide Sabina was knowledgeable on all the history and even gave us a great place to stop and eat after the tour! The bus transfers were easy to navigate and was nice after walking in the hot sun! Overall, I would most definitely suggest this tour! The Capuchin crypt is a most see attraction!

Our guide was excellent Paula was extensively knowledgeable regarding our tour stops, she would ask constantly if there where questions that needed to be answered, and the coach ride was clean and comfortable were still she explained the scenes around us on the way. I would recommend this tour and tour guide to anyone that is in Rome!!

Le guide et visite catacombe étaient très chouette ,la visite de la crypte et musée des capucins très bien aussi. C est au niveau du transfert entre les catacombes et la crypte que ça a coincé :on n a toujours pas compris pourquoi le petit bus qui nous a repris aux catacombes nous a largué sans explication d où nous devions prendre le bus(par ailleurs,ce serait plus simple d amener directement les gens à bonne destination,surtout qd on a choisi une formule avec transfert...)

What to expect

Capuchin Crypt

A Baroque ossuary under Santa Maria della Concezione.

Explore six chapels decorated with the bones of 4,000 friars.

Hear about Capuchin beliefs via an included audio guide.

Catacombs (St. Callixtus, Domitilla, or St. Sebastian)

You’ll visit one catacomb, depending on the day.

Join a licensed guide underground.

Walk through frescoed tombs and learn about early Christian burials.

Optional: Basilica of San Nicola in Carcere

Some tours include a stop here—a lesser-known church built over ancient Roman temples.

Once the tour ends, you’ll return to central Rome by the same coach.

Your coach returns you to central Rome after the tour concludes.

Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time for check-in and boarding.

You’ll visit one of the following catacombs based on the day of your tour. St. Callixtus Catacombs is open Thursday to Tuesday and closed on Wednesdays. Domitilla Catacombs is open Wednesday to Monday and closed on Tuesdays. St. Sebastian Catacombs is open daily.

The specific catacomb visited depends on operational availability and closure days. Your guide will confirm which one is scheduled on the day of your tour.

The tour includes stairs and uneven terrain and is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.

Dress code: Shoulders and knees must be covered due to religious site requirements.

Photography is not allowed inside the crypt or catacombs.

The catacombs stay cool (~15°C). Carry a light jacket for comfort.
