I went with my partner, and honestly, I didn’t expect to get SO into the tunnels (literally and metaphorically, lol). Our guide, Minh, was super patient with questions and let us try squeezing through the narrow bits. Felt a bit claustrophobic at first but it was totally worth it. The shooting range was LOUD but kinda wild to see. Wear comfy shoes, trust me. We got a little muddy but it adds to the fun. Def recommend if ur into history or just wanna do smth different.

Did the Cu Chi tunnels tour solo and honestly, didn’t regret it for a sec. The guide, Nam, told stories that made the whole war history come alive. Crawling through the tunnels was intense (I'm taller than average so had to duck a lot). Got to try the cassava snack the soldiers ate (tastes like potato kinda). Bring water, it gets warm fast!

Visited Cu Chi with a group tour. Info was interesting, but it felt a bit rushed, maybe because there were too many ppl. Our guide did his best, but sometimes it was hard to hear over other groups. The tunnels themselves are crazy to see, like how did ppl live down there? Glad I went but not sure I’d do it again.

Visited with my family (kids 10 & 13). Tunnels were fascinating, but my youngest got a bit freaked out crawling underground, so maybe not for all little ones. Guide (I forgot his name, sorry!) was funny and made the history feel REAL. It was hot and a bit crowded but still a cool experience overall.

So, went with friends and our guide was Linh. She was SWEET and answered all our random qs, even when we asked about shoes and local food. Only thing, it was soooo busy when we got there, like lines for everything. But once you get into the tunnels, totally worth the wait.

  • Step into Vietnam’s wartime past with a guided half-day tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels, a vital underground stronghold used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War.

    Getting started

Get picked up from your hotel in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City and enjoy a scenic 90-minute drive to the Ben Dinh site.

    What to expect

    Historical introduction

Start with a short documentary that outlines the construction and wartime use of the tunnels.

    Tunnel exploration

Spend around 2 hours on-site crawling through tunnel sections and exploring underground kitchens, living quarters, command centers, and escape routes.

    Life underground

Learn how the Viet Cong survived using hidden wells, makeshift hospitals, food storage, and clever design—even during intense bombing raids.

    Trap demonstrations

Watch live demonstrations of booby traps and hear real stories of guerrilla warfare.

    Wrapping up

Wrap up the visit with a tasting of cassava and tea. You can also visit the on-site shooting range (optional, at an additional cost) before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City.

  • What to bring

    • Wear comfortable shoes as the terrain is rugged and bring sunglasses, insect repellent, and a sun hat.

    • Only bring small bags or backpacks as large items may hinder movement through the tunnels.

    What’s not allowed

    • Smoking is not allowed inside the tunnels.

    Accessibility

    • The experience is not wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

    • This experience is not suitable for guests with mobility issues and claustrophobia as the terrain is uneven and the tunnels are very narrow.

    Additional information

    • The tour includes pickup from certain hotels in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. If your accommodation is outside the hotel pick-up area, head to the meet-up location provided.

    • Pickup times available are 7:30am, 12:30pm, and 1pm.

    • Your voucher will be emailed to you instantly.

    • Please arrive at the meeting point 15 mins before the scheduled time of your visit to avoid any delays.

    • Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the meeting point.

    Meeting point

    • Please check your final voucher for the meeting point details and specific instructions.
