What is Universal Beijing Resort?

Universal Beijing Resort is soon to be the biggest theme park under the Universal bandwagon. It will comprise Universal Studios Beijing, Universal CityWalk Beijing, Universal Studios Grand Hotel, and NUO Resort Hotel. Offering guests a wide variety of adrenaline-packed entertainment, from thrilling rides to immersive shows, Universal Beijing is designed to reflect China's cultural heritage, while ensuring a memorable time!

The Seven Themed Lands at Universal Studios Beijing

The theme park will include seven expansive lands built around a themed mix of attractions, shows, shops, and restaurants. These are:

Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness

This indoor theme park will aim to recreate the animated movie series Kung Fu Panda, which follows the adventures of Po, a brave panda, in his quest to become a Kung Fu master. Discover the Jade Palace, the Panda Village, and the Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom, and enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience with stunning Chinese architecture, festive decor, delicious food, and captivating performances.

Transformers: Metrobase

Based on Hasbro’s Transformers franchise, this land will feature a range of movie scenes, film replicas, and multi-sensory stimulation experiences. Metrobase is the headquarters for N.E.S.T. Beijing – a top-secret, technologically-advanced destination where Autobots and humans fight together to protect Earth.

Minion Land

Inspired by the Despicable Me franchise, Minion Land is where the mayhem’s at! Over here, both children and adults can explore iconic locations and scenes from the blockbuster film. Meet Gru’s loyal yellow, gibberish-speaking Minions and get mischievous with them!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

This is an award-winning experience that allows visitors to leave their mundane life behind and dabble in magic and wizardry. Explore the mysteries of Hogwarts castle, visit Hogsmeade, and experience heart-pounding rides and attractions that will transport you into a world of magical thrills, spells, and dark villains.

Jurassic World Isla Nublar

Jurassic World Isla Nublar is a larger-than-life destination where dinosaurs reign. Travel back 65 million years and encounter velociraptors, ankylosaurus, tyrannosaurs, and the Indominus rex. Check out never-before-experienced rides and attractions. This area includes four interactive zones and the main ride: Jurassic World Adventure.

Hollywood Boulevard

Live the Hollywood experience and take a deep dive into its glitz and glamour! Meet your favorite celebrities and check out “Lights, Camera, Action!” featuring world-renowned directors such as Zhang Yimou and Steven Spielberg.

WaterWorld

This popular stunt show will allow visitors to experience a battle on the water. Featuring motorboats, gunfire, explosions, and a plane crash, this is sure to be a thrilling adventure. This land also promises dining and other entertainment offerings.

Universal CityWalk Beijing

To complement the theme park experience and to promote a new nightlife landmark in Beijing, Universal CityWalk will feature dining and entertainment concepts with a multi-functional cinema, themed retail and shopping, 15 restaurants, high-end VIP events, and clubs. The theatre will have 2,000 seats and 11 screening rooms, including the biggest IMAX with Laser in Beijing. It is expected to host premieres of Universal films and other major films.

Universal Beijing Resort’s Hotels

Universal Beijing Resort is scheduled to debut two extraordinary and world-class, resort hotel concepts:

Universal Studios Grand Hotel

Offering a contemporary interpretation of the Hollywood Golden Age, this Universal-themed hotel will be designed in the classic Spanish architectural style. The decor and setting here will transport guests to a world of film and glitz, serving as a beacon of relaxation and escape. The hotel will have 800 rooms, situated near the entrance.

NUO Resort Hotel

This first-ever resort hotel from NUO, the country’s first homegrown luxury hotel brand, will provide a luxurious escape into China’s ancient royal gardens! Over here, modernity flirts with simplicity while the hotel mixes business with pleasure and art with technology. This portion will work as a tranquil space amidst the charged atmosphere of the resort. The 400 rooms here will combine Chinese cultural heritage with modern elegance.

How to Get to Universal Beijing Resort?

  • Location: Liyuan Town, Tongzhou District, Beijing, China

  • Getting There: A new metro station is being constructed under the Beijing subway system. This station will be connected to Batong Line and Line 7 of the subway system.
