Hice este tour el viernes 02 Jun 2023. Mi guia fue Pedro y el conductor Silva. Pasamos un dia super agradable. La primera parada fue en un pueblo encantador llamado Amaranto y Pedro te relata todas las curiosidades del pueblo. Luego fuimos al primer viñedo, el cual fue mi favorito de toda la experiencia, y nos explicaron cómo degustar y probamos 3 vinos, en ese mismo viñedo almorzamos y la verdad la comida deja mucho que desear, es regular, pero al menos con la compañía y camaradería del grupo uno igual la pasa bien. Después seguimos al segundo viñedo donde te explican un poco sobre las plantas de uvas y tambien te dan 3 vinos a degustar. Después seguimos al crucero por el rio que fue una linda experiencia, no se mueve para nada así que es seguro incluso si eres de los que marea!

The tour is nice overall and I don't think it's too overpriced if organised well, but expected a better experience for the price. Mainly, the timing was poor. The lunch was far from a local experience (good starter but a very poor dry chicken and soggy oven chips for a main course!!) - this was followed by a boat tour and it seemed a bit rushed and heavy to go on the boat after lunch. The 2nd vineyard was nicer but in the description it says 'Three wines, cheese, and olive oil tastings'. there were no cheeses or olive oil tasting and no explanation of why! Once this was over we has to rush to the transport to get back on time as the tour guide was panicked we'd arrive late so people felt a bit rushed all in all.

We took this wonderful tour in January 2023 with André. He was a warm, personable and knowledgeable guide, and the tour was well designed, informative and much fun. We saw a small, family run winery with lots of personality where a delicious lunch was served -- and visited a larger, more corporate producer. A river cruise in there too, and a stop at a small town along the way. We somehow had all English speakers with the exception of a couple who spoke Spanish, but André flawlessly moved between languages and effortlessly guided us enthusiastically through the day. Highly recommended, and many thanks to a great guide who clearly loves his country (as do we!!).

Our Duoro Valley Wine Tour + Cruise was exceptional. We visited Quinta S. Luis, Quinta da Avessade where we had lunch (so delicious) & did a lovely Rabelo boat tour. Our tour guide Nelson was wonderful & our driver Tiago made us feel safe. Our bus broke down on the highway but all the staff handled the precarious situation with efficiency & professionalism so that we were soon on our way in a new bus. Bravo!

Had an amazing all day experience going through the Duoro Valley as well as visiting the two wineries! We also went on a river cruise which was beautiful. Shout out to our tour guide Cuber and bus driver Ramos! He made us cookies which tastes delicious. Would recommend this tour to anyone.
