A very enjoyable activity with a brief stop allowing for a quick tour of the town of Amarante. The visit to the port producer was well organized, followed by a pleasant little trip on the Douro. Then, lunch and another visit to a slightly more rustic estate. Very nice. A special thank you to our guide Christian, who is an excellent guide with a great sense of humor!

Hice este tour el viernes 02 Jun 2023. Mi guia fue Pedro y el conductor Silva. Pasamos un dia super agradable. La primera parada fue en un pueblo encantador llamado Amaranto y Pedro te relata todas las curiosidades del pueblo. Luego fuimos al primer viñedo, el cual fue mi favorito de toda la experiencia, y nos explicaron cómo degustar y probamos 3 vinos, en ese mismo viñedo almorzamos y la verdad la comida deja mucho que desear, es regular, pero al menos con la compañía y camaradería del grupo uno igual la pasa bien. Después seguimos al segundo viñedo donde te explican un poco sobre las plantas de uvas y tambien te dan 3 vinos a degustar. Después seguimos al crucero por el rio que fue una linda experiencia, no se mueve para nada así que es seguro incluso si eres de los que marea!

We took this wonderful tour in January 2023 with André. He was a warm, personable and knowledgeable guide, and the tour was well designed, informative and much fun. We saw a small, family run winery with lots of personality where a delicious lunch was served -- and visited a larger, more corporate producer. A river cruise in there too, and a stop at a small town along the way. We somehow had all English speakers with the exception of a couple who spoke Spanish, but André flawlessly moved between languages and effortlessly guided us enthusiastically through the day. Highly recommended, and many thanks to a great guide who clearly loves his country (as do we!!).

My wife and I did the wine tour in Douro Valley on Christmas Eve and it was the perfect way to spend the holidays in Portugal. We experienced several great port wines, explored beautiful vineyards and ended the day with a relaxing boat ride. Maria brought an infectious positive energy from the very being that radiated throughout the day and Santa Tony Claus was the best driver/DJ. I would absolutely recommend this tour for a great day trip around the Douro Valley. Merry Christmas!!

Such a wonderful tour with Rita and driver Jose. In safe hands driving on narrow roads. First stop at Crofts port vinyard for great informative tour. A tasting that brought the tour together and started the singing!! Clients from many countries, Canada, USA, Hungry, Mexico , Panama,Mexico, Ireland and who could forget Costa Rica!!!!! Fabulous food and wine at the great lunch. We could have stayed all day. Rita was so kind, informative and a great host of Porto.

This tour is an absolute must-do! Living Tours is incredibly professional and very accommodating. After a mix up with my booking, they very graciously offered my friend and I spots in the following day's tour group, which we are endlessly grateful for. This was the highlight of our stay in Porto. Our Duoro Valley Wine Tour + Cruise was exceptional. We visited Quinta S. Luis, Quinta da Avessade where we had lunch (so delicious) & did a lovely Rabelo boat tour. Our tour guide Nelson was wonderful & our driver Tiago made us feel safe. Our bus broke down on the highway but all the staff handled the precarious situation with efficiency & professionalism so that we were soon on our way in a new bus. Bravo!
