The guide took us from the meeting point to the security checkpoint at the Eiffel Tower, chatting with us along the way and explaining the tower’s history since its construction, as well as Parisian architecture and other interesting facts. We had a great (Dutch) tour guide who knew a lot about the Eiffel Tower. The advantage of booking a tour with a guide for us was that we didn’t have to stand in line—we could just walk right in. At the very top, we had a glass of Champagne that was way too expensive, but it was worth it!
