GroupVerified bookingYesterday5/5The Oceanografic was one of the highlights of my stay in Valencia. I arrived without too many expectations regarding logistics, but the first pleasant surprise was the parking: I found a spot right away—convenient and just a stone’s throw from the entrance—which is by no means a given at such a large and popular attraction. The day didn’t look promising weather-wise—gray, overcast skies from the morning on—but I have to say that this didn’t spoil the experience in the slightest; quite the opposite, actually. Much of the tour winds through indoor exhibits and spectacular aquariums, so the iffy weather practically faded into the background. I was able to take my time exploring all the areas without ever feeling rushed: from the shark tunnel to the dolphin area, passing through the exhibits dedicated to jellyfish and tropical ecosystems, each section is meticulously curated and allows visitors to get up close to marine life. I was particularly struck by the variety of reconstructed habitats, which makes the visit interesting both for those traveling with children and for those, like me, who are simply nature enthusiasts. All in all, it was a day well spent, and I recommend it without reservation even if the weather isn’t ideal: most of the experience takes place indoors anyway, so don’t let a cloudy day discourage you.JJulie L
FamilyVerified bookingLast week4/5The park is beautiful; the diversity and number of species are impressive. The only downside: we bought our tickets online, and they were for a specific time slot at 3:00 p.m., even though we would have preferred to arrive earlier. We arrived early and wanted to eat inside, but we were denied entry because it was too early—even though other people were buying tickets on-site and going right in. We asked the ticket office to exchange our tickets so we could get in earlier, but they refused. After a 15-minute discussion and thanks to our cancellation option, the employee agreed to let us in... None of this is specified on the website... In short, this was not very customer-friendly, especially toward foreign tourists traveling with children in the middle of a heat wave! The employees aren’t sufficiently informed about current procedures! The employees rely too heavily on supervisors for even the smallest questions (for example: the employees are unable to open a closed umbrella in the waiting area in front of the entrance; they’re also unable to provide information about the parking payment stations...).PParenti G
CoupleVerified bookingLast week4/5A wonderful experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Valencia! The Oceanogràfic is a truly spectacular place, with attention to every detail, that will leave you speechless. The exhibits are very impressive and allow you to see many marine species up close, including sharks, penguins, jellyfish, belugas, and dolphins. (Visit Valencia) The tour is well-organized, and the famous underwater tunnel is truly thrilling. The architecture of the facility is also beautiful and makes the visit even more special. It takes several hours to explore it at a leisurely pace, but time flies because there’s always something new to see. A truly unforgettable experience, perfect for both adults and children. A must-see if you’re in Valencia!MMarco B
CoupleVerified bookingLast week5/5The Oceanografic in Valencia is a large aquarium that rivals—and likely surpasses—major aquariums such as those in Genoa and Monte Carlo. It’s divided into sections based on different environments (tropical, polar, coral reef, open ocean); the underwater tunnel is particularly impressive, where you can walk alongside sharks, stingrays, sawfish, and more... The only downside is that unfortunately, the section dedicated to the Red Sea is only open for brief periods (very early in the morning, very late at night, or around lunchtime—it’s very difficult to catch the right time), and for the rest, they offer a 3D show for an additional fee (but you don’t need to come all the way to Valencia to watch fish at the movies).SSusy B
CoupleVerified bookingLast week5/5Arriving at the City of Arts and Sciences is like stepping onto another planet; the majestic modern buildings are breathtaking. It’s convenient to get there by bus, and entry is a breeze if you book your ticket in advance on the website. Then the adventure begins as you follow the various trails through the different areas. I was enchanted by the belugas, penguins, and dolphins. The ticket price is steep, but considering the park’s maintenance and the care given to the animals, it’s definitely worth it. It takes 4 to 5 hours to see everything. It’s definitely worth visiting at least once in your life.
Book this handy combo ticket to explore iconic sites in the city of Valencia with a hop-on hop-off pass and visit the Oceanogràfic Aquarium, home to a wide variety of marine species, from fish and sharks to dolphins.
