Obviously, this is a unique visit—extremely moving and unsettling. But a big thank you to our charming, well-informed, and unobtrusive French-speaking guide, who made it an experience that was as interesting as it was intense. The organization was excellent: the bus was on time, and the tour leader on board was friendly and efficient. In the end, we appreciated having to get up early, which allowed us to be among the first to arrive at the site and avoid the worst of the crowds. This is an essential visit to bring back to the forefront of our emotions and reflections what we have a duty to fight against and reject.

To say that was an wonderful experience is not gonna describe totally what i feel. It was an one time experience and difficult to compare with anything else. All the history in that place, made me feel on one part releved that i didn't lived in those times, but on the other hand a little bit guilty couse, you know, a lot of innocent people died there for nothing. And the kids? The part with the kids was purely horror. Also, the priviledge to have such a well prepared guide and truly implicated, as Miss Izabella was, was exactly what we needed. No matter how prepared do you think are, cause it's impossible to not heard about something of a such magnitude, it perish at the moment you arrive and hear live and clear of all the atrocitys, humiliations, dehumanisings of all those people. A lot of goosebumps are crawling beneath your skin and terrifies you to the bones when you see all the hair and pairs of shoes.

The tour picked us up at a central meeting point although we were lead to believe they would pick us up at our hotel. So we had planned on that. When we were informed that it wasn't going to happen we had to make other arrangements to get to the pickup point. We also thought the lunch bag we ordered was paid prior to the tour for but the driver asked us to pay for it in cash. Not having to worry about taking a train to Auschwitz and transferring to Birkenau was nice. Also not having to worry about standing in the long line saved a lot of time.

The time of our tour was moved up by 5 hours, and unfortunately, the tour for our friends—who had booked the same time as us—was moved up to 5:40 a.m. Despite our repeated requests, they wouldn’t accommodate us so we could take the tour together. It’s a real shame. Our tour went well, even though the Italian-speaking guide was actually a translator for a Polish guide and, in fact, didn’t seem very prepared to explain what the Polish guide was saying. Overall, though, it went pretty well.

Excellent tour guide both for travel and once inside the Auschwitz memorial. A very informative and emotional day but a reminder that such atrocities should not be forgotten. Very disappointing that start time was changed from 9.30 am to 5.45am with very little notice ( the afternoon before!) meaning that we were unable to have the breakfast we had paid extra for with our accommodation . Despite contacting the company no response or compensation offered ...very poor !
