Overall, we’re very satisfied with the tour. The transfer was well organized, and we were picked up from the meeting point on time and exactly as agreed. We were a little annoyed that the pickup time was moved up to 5:20 a.m., since that was pretty early for us and we’d actually specified 9 a.m. when we booked. When we asked about a later time, however, we received a very kind explanation that it couldn’t be done any other way, etc., so it was fine. In return, we were one of the first groups on site and thus had a very smooth and efficient visit without much waiting time. On site, you’re given headphones so you can hear the guide clearly. Our guide explained the background of the concentration camp and the historical developments very well. Both sites, Auschwitz 1 and Birkenau, were presented very well, and the tour left a profound impression on us. Overall, both the organization and the content of the tour were very well done, and we would recommend it to everyone!

9.30am time slot was moved to 05.30am 24 hours before trip. Half expected this due to other reviews. Due to late flight we had about a 4 hour turnaround! New time turned out better for us as we were back in Krakow for lunchtime but others had had to miss out on other plans they had made as they had their times changed from early morning to afternoon. Bus was on time and all was efficient when we arrived. Unfortunately our guide spoke very fast and was hard to understand. It was no issue for me as I had been before but a few in the group commented they were missing quite a bit of the information he was giving us. Please don't be put off - I do think everyone should go to pay their respects. Maybe book direct and get your own transport. Bolt and train very cheap.

The Auschwitz-Birkenau tour with Headout was exceptional to say the least. The bus was perfectly on time and well organised in picking everyone up. The driver was lovely and conveyed instructions very clearly. Our tour guide Eva was wonderful, showing a deep respect for the cemetery that Auschwitz is and sharing detailed information in a way that imparted the same sense of reflection in all of us. Walking through the two camps, knowing that so many who walked in the same gates never walked out again, was a surreal and haunting experience that brought history to life in a sickening new way. It was an emotionally challenging visit but undoubtedly important and I'm so glad I did this tour with Headout.

Mixed experience. Auschwitz-Birkenau and the experience of and knowledge shared regarding its sorrowful history made the experience what we expected it to be. However, due to travel delays we were late to arrive and the guide made it extremely evident of their disappointment in this. This appeared to create a rather negative experience for some members of the group. For future tours would encourage consideration of possible travels delays to appease some of these challenges of what was otherwise a positive and well organised trip.

The experience was amazing! Remembering events like the rise of Nazi Germany and the Holocaust is essential to prevent such atrocities from happening again , and Auschwitz is the place to see. The tour organization was great, and the guide was very well prepared and managed to convey very easily the emotional charge of everything that Nazism meant for the Jews and for Poland.
