About View Boston
If a trip to Boston is on the cards for you, head over to the top three floors of Prudential Center and soak in the city’s sights from the 52nd floor observation deck. It offers you wonderful views of the city’s landmarks like the Boston Public Garden which was the first public botanical garden in America and the glorious Massachusetts State House.
The building atop which View Boston is located, the Prudential Center, is the 2nd-tallest building in Boston with a height of 749 feet.
Today, View Boston stands where the Skywalk Observatory once stood. After 54 years atop the tower, the observatory shut down in 2020.
View Boston is a great vantage point to watch the finish of the Boston Marathon held on the third Monday of April every year. You can get a clear view of the winner crossing the finish line from here.

The Cloud Terrace
At the 51st floor, you will find the 360-degree open-air roof deck that offers a photo opp called 'The Big Picture,' an exclusive selfie experience that captures the Boston backdrop from a distance of over 2,000 feet. While you’re there, indulge in the seasonal drinks and delectable small plates available at Stratus, an indoor/outdoor lounge.
Boston 365
Head over to the 50th floor and experience the Boston 365 immersive showcase. You can view a 50-foot wide 3D model of Boston that is brought to life using 31 projectors that map the city right in front of you.
Open Doors
A 270-degree cinematic journey, Open Doors follows a child’s exploration of Boston. With five projectors and a 6.2 sound system, this unique attraction shows you the rich history, culture, and spirit of Boston through the charm of immersive theater.

Main entrance
View Boston is located on the top three floors of the Prudential Center. To get there, you need to enter the Prudential Center and navigate to the main thoroughfare of the shops. Look for the Madewell store or Vineyard Vines. The entrance to View Boston is just past these stores. Once you’ve found the entrance, you’ll be taken to the top of the building in an elevator to the 52nd floor with a stunning display of the Boston skyline.
View Boston is open throughout the year.
There is a souvenir and merchandise called ‘The View Shop’ on the 50th floor where you can buy Boston-themed memorabilia, including T-shirts, postcards, and mugs, as well as a curated selection of local artisan products.
There are restrooms available for guests on all the 3 floors of View Boston.
There is a bistro called The Beacon on the 50th floor and an al fresco on the 51st called The Stratus where you can dine with a view.
View Boston is wheelchair accessible and ramps are available for seamless navigation.
Wheelchairs are available for use on a first-come-first-served basis at the entrance of Prudential Tower.
