Honestly, was NOT sure what to expect, but wow, the night was WILD. Went with my cousin, we got there a bit early (like 8:45pm?) and there was already a line starting. Staff at the door were super chill, joked around while we waited. Once inside, the energy is just next level. I barely sat down the whole time, just dancing and watching these insane performances – Spider-Man flying over our heads, confetti everywhere. The bartenders were suuuper quick (didn’t expect that with this many people). Only thing, it got pretty HOT inside by midnight and my cousin’s heels were killing her. Drinks kept coming though, and our server (shoutout to Victor) made sure we had water too. Loved the Michael Jackson act – crowd went nuts. Would def come back, just maybe with more comfy shoes next time.

Fun night with friends. We got the regular tickets and had to wait around 25ish mins outside, but the staff kept the line moving fast. Inside was SO CROWDED (not kidding, you’re shoulder to shoulder most of the time), but the show was actually super entertaining. Felt a bit rushed between acts, but honestly, worth it. Drinks were a bit watered down but free-flowing. If you don’t like loud music and big crowds, maybe not for you, but we had a blast.

Went solo, ended up making friends at my table. Staff made me feel comfortable right away, and the energy was just contagious. Every performance was over the top (in a good way). My fave was the Queen tribute – so much glitter, so much confetti. Couldn’t take pics during one part, which was a bummer, but honestly I was too busy watching anyway. Left with a sore throat from yelling and a huge smile.

We celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday here. Staff brought a little cupcake with a sparkler (unexpected and super cute). We did the Gold package so got a seat – I wouldn’t survive standing all night, lol. Performers were next-level, especially the aerial dancers. Place gets LOUD. Pro tip: eat before you go, food is meh and you won’t want to miss the show waiting for fries.

Never seen anything like this before. The energy in the room is just insaneee! My wife and I were skeptical but ended up singing along and dancing with strangers. Staff were really attentive – our guy kept asking if we needed anything. The only weird thing was the bathroom line (long and a little gross after midnight). Overall, a super memorable night.

This is Playa’s version of Coco Bongo: tighter, louder, and more immersive. The show, the music, and the crowd all hit at once, and once it starts, it doesn’t really slow down.

Head to Coco Bongo just off Fifth Avenue and present your ticket at entry. Regular and Premium tickets follow the main line, while Gold Member and Front Row tickets use VIP access for faster entry and quicker seating inside.

Coco Bongo Playa del Carmen

Opened in the late 2000s, this venue is one of Playa del Carmen’s best-known nightlife spots, built as a multi-level indoor space around a central stage. It holds around 1,500 guests, with standing areas on the main floor and tiered seating in VIP sections. The layout keeps the stage, aerial rigs, and crowd tightly packed together, so you’re always close to the action, whether you're on the floor or seated above it.
