Next, head to the Baptistery in front of the Duomo of Volterra. The Baptistery of San Giovanni is an octagonal 13th-century religious building. Marvel at the façade that is decorated with horizontal bands of white and dark green marble.

Admire the Ancient Civil Hospital of Santa Maria Maddalena

This is a Roman structure, possibly a cistern in the Piazza San Giovanni. Currently, the Civil Hospital of Santa Maria Maddalena is a study Center equipped for conferences and an exhibition center where donations of works of art are also kept by artists from Italy.
