The experience was fun. A bit tricky to get here from Paris, but both the chateau and house were amazing. The only problem was that the Chateau was much further away then the castle and the house of Davinci, and nobody could offer a solution on how to get there. It was only after we arrived at the cheaeau by uber, that we discovered the train that take you into town does in fact go to the chateau, however we went to Davinci's house first, so we discovered that too late. Other than that, everything was smooth sailing.

Chenonceaux Castle and gardens were fantastic, it was a very crowded day however they gave everyone a time slot for the Castle so although it was packed people still had plenty of room and time to see everything. Entry price was very reasonable, there are boats and a challenging Maze. Food was excellent and the dining areas were very clean with plenty of staff who were all very friendly.

Ticketing experience was very good. Had no trouble getting in with the codes sent us. We had a great time there. It was super busy walking around the Chateau but better in the gardens. Lots to see. Spent 6 hours there but took our own picnic as didn't fancy spending time queueing for food.

Chenencou cadtke as intriguing and lovely as described. It was our favorite castle of all that we visited. We paired it with a visit to Clos Luce. Leonardo was truly a genius. This was a magnificent day.

  • Chenonceau Castle

Visit Château Chenonceau, an elegant white castle built on the piers of an old mill in the famous Loire Valley region. Chenonceau is a stunning representation of late Gothic and early Renaissance architecture, featuring a long gallery bridge that spans over the Cher river.

Also known as the “Ladies’ Château” because of the notorious women who built, decorated, restored and maintained it throughout the centuries, Chenonceau boasts a fascinating royal history that dates back to the 13th century. Feel like true royalty as you stroll through the castles’ rooms, which are lavishly decorated with exquisite tapestries, paintings, and furniture. Round off your visit with a walk through the extensive royal gardens alongside the Cher river, featuring a maze, a 16th-century farm, a carriage gallery, and a vegetable and flower garden.

    Domaine du Château de Chaumont-sur-Loire

The château in Chaumont-sur-Loire has lived a colorful history. It was burned to the ground by King Louis XI in the 15th century and changed hands from Catherine de Medici to Diane de Poitiers in the 16th century. Unusually for a French castle, the castle managed to escape significant damage during the revolution. Still, it is a place full of surprises, being both a historical monument and an art and nature center.

Both the château of Chaumont-sur-Loire and the International Garden Festival make up the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire. During your visit, you will get to admire the beautifully furnished rooms, the grand spiral staircase and several works of art on display. The most impressive feature of the chateau, though, is the stunning view over the Loire from the terraces.

Another highlight is the stables. Prince Amédée de Broglie is credited for upgrading it with running water and electric lamps at a time when even the grandest chateau had none. There is also the International Garden Festival that takes place every year. It brings together garden designers from all over the world to use their imagination to create a garden based on the annual theme. In 2021, the theme is “Biomimicry in the Garden”. It is open until 7th Nov 2021.

    Blois Castle

Prepare to be amazed when you step onto the magnificent courtyard, surrounded by four buildings from 4 different eras: the 13th-century Medieval fortress, the Louis XII Gothic wing (1498-1500), the François Renaissance wing (1515-1518), and the Gaston of Orleans Classical wing (1635-1638).

Travel back in time you walk through the royal apartments, the previous residence of 7 kings and 10 queens. The dramatic past of the French court, with its secrets, power games, and plots, will be revealed to you as you walk through the 17 rooms, lavishly decorated with traditional motifs, monograms and candelabras. Stroll through the Fine Arts Museum, housing more than 300 remarkable artworks, including works by the famous artists Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Peter Paul Rubens, and Francois Boucher.

    Amboise Castle

The architecture of this picturesque castle, a classic representation of late Gothic and early Renaissance architecture, will leave you in awe. Learn about the kings who reigned from the castle at the dawn of the Renaissance, as well as the other members of the French court and artists who were invited to stay in the medieval fortress. See first-hand how extravagant their lives were by admiring the extensive collection of Gothic and Renaissance furniture within the castle. One of the most notable guests at the Amboise Castle was Leonardo da Vinci, who you can pay respects to in the castle’s chapel, where he lies to rest.

Thanks to the latest innovations in the field of augmented reality, the HistoPad© offers you the opportunity to rediscover, in situ, spaces that have now disappeared and to immerse yourself in historical atmospheres: royal audiences and banquets, the seat of the ramparts and battle, construction sites, diving into the jails...the journey is open to all! End your visit with a walk in the sublime gardens, classified as "Remarkable Gardens" in 2017, overlooking the Loire, a river classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
