Main Entrance – Quarry Portal (Route de Maillane)
The sole public entrance is located directly off Route de Maillane (D27), right beside the main car park. Look for clear signage pointing to “Carrières des Lumières.” This entrance is fully step-free and accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, with a smooth path leading into the quarry. There is a lift to the mezzanine viewing platform inside, making all areas accessible for visitors with reduced mobility.
- January, November, December: Open daily from 10am to 6pm.
- February–March: Open daily from 9:30am to 6pm.
- April, May, June, September, October: Open daily from 9:30am to 7pm.
- July–August: Open daily from 9am to 7:30pm.
- Last Entry: 1 hour before closing time.
- Special Hours: On December 25 and January 1, open from 11am to 6pm.
- Closures: Open every day of the year, including public holidays.
- Show loops run continuously, so you can enter at any time during opening hours and stay as long as you like within your ticket’s validity.
A gift shop/boutique is located at the exit, offering art-themed souvenirs and gifts.
A café/snack bar is available near the entrance/exit for drinks and light snacks.
Toilets are available inside the quarry, though some visitors note they are a short walk from the entrance.
The entire site is wheelchair accessible, including a lift to the mezzanine viewing platform.
