The museum was informative and well put together, although many displays were only in French, making them difficult to understand. Napoleon’s tomb and the impressive building were absolutely amazing to see in person. The only downside was the noticeable dust throughout the building, especially on the pillars and displays. Overall, a fascinating historical experience well worth visiting.

A very large collection of weapons and items related to the military history of the French army. For the first time, I saw what muskets, fusils, flintlock pistols, and edged weapons of those times really looked like. Honestly, I had imagined them as something archaic and primitive. It turned out that they are quite technologically advanced and sophisticated pieces. I recommend the museum's exhibition space to everyone!

Pass through security and validate your ticket before exploring the museum and Dome Church at your own pace. For the Aura show, enter via Place Vauban and follow on-site instructions; the spectacle begins 20 minutes after your session time.

What to bring

Bring a valid photo ID to match the name on your booking if requested at the entrance.

Keep your ticket with you until the end of your visit, as you may be asked to show it to access different areas.

Wear warm clothing, as the environment inside the Dôme can be cold.

What’s not allowed

Large bags, suitcases, and oversized luggage are not allowed inside the venue for security reasons.

Baby strollers are not permitted.

Food, drinks, and smoking are strictly prohibited on the premises.

Accessibility

Visitors with motor disabilities can enter on the Place Vauban side.

People with mobility impairments can borrow a wheelchair (subject to availability) at the ticket desk on the Esplanade des Invalides and Place Vauban sides. Proof of identity is required to be left at the reception desk during your visit.
