This is our first time visiting Abu Dhabi, and we highly recommend both experiences. Qasr Al Watan completely amazed us — the palace is absolutely breathtaking, and we were truly impressed by its beauty, architecture and incredible details. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming and helpful, which made our visit even more special. teamLab Phenomena was also an amazing and unique experience that we really enjoyed. We would definitely recommend visiting both places while in Abu Dhabi. They are two unforgettable experiences that nobody should miss! ❤️

Teamlab phenomena is digital universe which completely blurs the line between art, science, and technology. Every room is fully interactive—the art dynamically shifts and responds to your touch and movement, making you feel like a living part of the exhibition. The contrast between the meditative dry installations and the sensory, wet zones (where you walk barefoot through knee-deep digital water) is brilliant. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to fully explore, and every corner is mesmerizing and highly photogenic.

When you enter into most of the exhibits, it will leave you stunned by either the mammoth size or by the colour and flow of lights. There's a certain calm in all the exhibits which leaves you speechless and soak it all in. All the exhibits leave you with a sense of calm.

Само здание отсылает общим силуэтом к крылу сокола в полёте - архитектура здесь работает как часть повествования, а не просто оболочка. Экспозиция выстроена вокруг фигуры шейха Заеда бин Султана Аль Нахайяна - основателя ОАЭ, и это придаёт музею совсем другой эмоциональный регистр по сравнению с классическими историческими музеями. Шесть постоянных галерей проводят через 300 тысяч лет истории региона - от каменных орудий палеолита до формирования современного государства. Отдельное впечатление - реплика бронзовой лодки длиной 18 метров, воссозданная по традиционным технологиям, и коллекция личных вещей и архивных материалов, которые делают историю осязаемой, а не абстрактной. Перед музее разбит Al Masar Garden - тут ландшафт разделён на пустынную, оазисную и городскую зоны. Прогулка по саду — это редкий случай, когда музейный опыт начинается еще на свежем воздухе, а не со входа в зал. Финальным аккордом визита стала смотровая площадка - вечером, когда город уже начал зажигать огни. Панорама Абу-Даби с высоты в этот час выглядит совершенно иначе: дневная строгость архитектуры уступает место мягкому золотисто-голубому освещению, и весь маршрут — от древних артефактов до современного мегаполиса за окном - вдруг складывается в единую историю о том, как прошлое перетекает в настоящее. Однозначно рекомендую закладывать на посещение не меньше 3-4 часов и планировать визит так, чтобы он завершился именно вечером - эффект от смотровой площадки того стоит.

What to bring

Photography and short videos are permitted for personal use only.

Zayed National Museum

Bring a valid photo ID to match the name on your booking if requested at the entrance.

Wear modest attire that is respectful and appropriate to UAE culture.

Sun protection (hat, sunscreen) and a water bottle are recommended for outdoor areas such as Al Masar Garden.

Guests under 18 are not permitted during Art Undistracted (Monday through Thursday, 6pm–10pm).

Smoking is prohibited throughout the premises (including outdoor areas).

For-profit/commercial photography or filming without prior written consent.

Zayed National Museum

Large bags, suitcases, and oversized luggage are not allowed inside the museum for security reasons.

Sharp objects, weapons, and items that could be used as weapons are strictly prohibited.

Food and drinks not for personal consumption, alcohol, and illegal substances are not permitted.

Professional media, photography, and recording equipment are not allowed. Photography is permitted for personal, non-commercial use only.

Recreational transport (bicycles, skateboards, scooters), large umbrellas, animals (except registered service animals), and items producing excessive noise are not allowed.

Items, clothing, or banners containing religious, political, provocative, or obscene content are prohibited.

Smoking is not permitted except in designated areas.

Any objects or materials considered disruptive, dangerous, or contrary to the proper operation of the museum are not allowed.

This experience is not accessible by strollers.

Guests sensitive to intense sensory environments, or with respiratory conditions such as asthma must practice caution as some artworks feature strobe light, flash effects, UV lights, and fog.

Zayed National Museum

The museum is wheelchair accessible, with stair-free routes and lift access throughout the building.

Accessible restrooms and cloakrooms are available on site.

Tours in Emirati sign language are available upon request.

Staff are trained to assist visitors with disabilities and hidden needs.

Some areas may feature flash lighting, loud noises, or other stimulating media—visitors sensitive to these should take caution.
