Getting started
Arrive at Willowbank Wildlife Reserve, 60 Hussey Road, Northwood, Christchurch, and present your entry ticket at the main entrance. After a quick ticket check, you’re free to explore the reserve at your own pace.
What to expect
Willowbank Wildlife Reserve is a renowned nature park just outside Christchurch, home to over 50 wildlife species and dedicated to conservation and education. The reserve is the only place in New Zealand where you can see the country’s ‘Big 5’ native animals in one visit.

Kiwi nocturnal house: View the iconic kiwi bird up close in a specially designed, glass-free nocturnal house, open daily from 10:30am.
