Oscar, unserer Fahrer, war klasse. Aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und für jede Frage offen. Die deutsche Führung war prima. Nur: es war natürlich brechend voll im Bergwerk. So kam es immer mal wieder zum Stau der einzelnen Gruppen. War aber nicht tragisch. Schade war, dass es oftmals so eine Hetzerei durch das Bergwerk war. Sitzplätze sind an jeder Station großzügig vorhanden. Am Ende der Führung wartet erneut ein Souvenirshop. Der letzte Weg zum Fahrstuhl betrug bestimmt noch einmal mindestens 1,5 km. Von einer Mitarbeiterin begleitet und sehr herzig und schnell. Der Ausflug hat sich definitiv gelohnt und Oscar hat uns wieder umsichtig und toll nach Krakau zurück gebracht.

After having trouble the first time booking, I had to book again but the day was enjoyable lots of walking involved but was nice and cool in the heatwave, main concern not much of break time to allow drink and toilet, and also don't drink too much as toilet is quite a way, Otherwise worth a visit

Nel complesso e stata una bella esperienza. Trasferimento con prelievo in hotel molto comodo e preciso, autista disponibile, al ritorno ci ha chiesto se preferivamo essere lasciati in centro. La miniera molto bella, più di quando ci aspettavamo con la guida in italiano molto preparata. Una unica pecca forse, la velocità nel fare il tour all'interno della miniera, ci sarebbe piaciuto poter godersi qualche istante in più le cose da vedere all'interno.

Visite très intéressante, même si le prix est un peu excessif. Déconseillée aux personnes à mobilité et jeunes enfants en raison des 800 marches à descendre et des kilomètres à parcourir: une vraie petite rando! Par contre, manque cruel d'information à la sortie qui ne se trouve pas au même endroit que l'entrée (environ 500m de distance): difficile de retrouver notre bus dans ces conditions! D'ailleurs, on a perdu 2 participants....

La miniera di sale è veramente unica, sicuramente da vedere, buona organizzazione, con partenza da Cracovia e ritorno al tuo alloggio o lì vicino. Guida preparata e attenta, autista disponibile. Il tour è abbastanza impegnativo poichè dura 2 ore o più, e si svolge ad una profondità di oltre 100 metri.

Your driver will collect you directly from your hotel in Krakow and transfer you to the Wieliczka Salt Mine(if option selected). Upon arrival, meet your tour attendant and guide, who will assist with ticketing and provide headsets for clear audio before you join your group at the mine entrance.

Wieliczka Salt Mine

Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978, the Wieliczka Salt Mine has operated continuously since the 13th century and is one of Poland’s most treasured cultural monuments. Descend 800 stairs to explore a vast underground world, reaching a depth of 135 meters.

What to bring

Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Bring warm clothing as the temperature underground ranges between 14° and 16° C.

What’s not allowed

Luggage or large bags are not allowed inside the mine.

Luggage larger than 30 x 20 x 10 centimeters is not permitted (can be left on the bus if applicable).

Accessibility

Not suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility impairments.

There are approximately 800 steps to climb, with 350 at the beginning to descend into the mine.

Additional information

The tour is not recommended for anyone with claustrophobia.

Maximum group size is 40 visitors per guide.

The pace and duration of guided tours are determined by visitor service regulations; duration is approximate.

Toilet facilities are spaced along the route at approximately 40 and 90 minutes from the start of the visit.

If your child is less than 150 cm tall, please inform the local partner so a child seat can be arranged.

Your pickup time may be adjusted; you will be informed by the activity provider if necessary.

The local partner will contact you by WhatsApp, email, or phone the day before your tour to confirm pickup time and details.

If your accommodation is in Krakow’s Old Town or Kazimierz (restricted traffic zones), the nearest possible pickup point will be confirmed.

Meet at the UNESCO monument in front of the entrance to the mine if not using pickup.
