The tour was amazing, full of insights and great historical descriptions, our guide Bart, made this experience a very interesting travel in time. Be prepared to listen to a lot of history timelines and details, as well as real comparisons to Hollywood movie 'Schindler's List'. Bart is very experienced and has a great English from which you will understand every piece. The tour was well organized, punctual. If you are interested in the Holocaust history, I highly recommend this tour. Expect to see a museum, not a factory, where you will also walk the famous staircase from the actual movie. The museum has lockers for bags and coats, toilet and cafe with souvenirs. If you book these tickets, you will also have access to visit the Pharmacy from the Ghetto. Enjoy!

First of all, the name of this tour should be corrected to "World War II Museum and Information about Oscar Shkinler." The tour is generally well-documented, with nice photos illustrating Krakow's history and World War II, but the Oscar Shindler is only featured in a small part of it. In any case, nice tour for Krakow history and Schindler's job. I quitted the tour early because of another scheduled tour for Wawel Castle. I joinef another tour guide for Getto. I like it much, tour guide was a man graduated from Jewish history. Wall, park, Getto history and houses were perfectly described.

La visita al museo è estremamente interessante e coinvolgente. Consiglio di effettuare la visita con la guida perché riesce a dare moltissime informazioni e a far capire molti aspetti che altrimenti sarebbe difficile cogliere. Da migliorare un po' l'organizzazione della consegna dei biglietti perché sulla App sono resi disponibili soltanto i voucher e il messaggio del tour operator che avvisava della consegna dei biglietti all'ingresso del museo è arrivato 2 min dopo l'orario di inizio prestabilito, per cui al nostro arrivo eravamo un po' spaesati.

Die Führung durch das Museum war insgesamt sehr informativ und absolut empfehlenswert. Wir haben die Führung auf Englisch gemacht und unsere Guide Ewa hat die Inhalte ruhig, klar und sehr verständlich vermittelt. Auch als deutsche Teilnehmende konnte man ihr problemlos folgen, da ihre Aussprache sehr deutlich und angenehm war. Das Hintergrundwissen war umfangreich, gut eingeordnet und nie überfordernd. Fragen wurden ausführlich beantwortet und die Führung wirkte dabei jederzeit sympathisch, respektvoll und professionell. Das Museum selbst legt weniger den Schwerpunkt auf Oskar Schindler als Person, sondern stärker auf die Geschichte des Nationalsozialismus in Polen und den Alltag unter der deutschen Besatzung. Das sollte man vorab wissen, schmälert den Besuch aber nicht, da die historische Einordnung sehr eindrücklich und lehrreich ist. Auch nach der Führung wurde sich Zeit genommen, uns weiterzuhelfen, etwa bei der Orientierung und bei Empfehlungen. Insgesamt eine sehr gelungene Führung mit nachhaltigem Eindruck.

The tour was 1 hour and half long. It was explained many details, it started as in a time line starting in how was the life in Poland before the war and everything unfolded afterwards. The tour guide was nice and approachable... The museum was full of documents, pictures and scenarios. It is a tour that I well recommend specially if you like History and facts.

What to bring

Bring a valid photo ID or passport for entry.

Wear comfortable shoes as a fair amount of walking and stair climbing is involved.

Bring a warm layer, especially if your tour includes the Wieliczka Salt Mine, where the temperature is around 14°C (57°F).

What’s not allowed

Large bags and backpacks are not permitted inside the Wieliczka Salt Mine.

Food and drinks are not allowed inside the museum or the salt mine.

Pets are not permitted, except for registered service animals.

Alcohol, drugs, and any form of intoxication are strictly prohibited on the premises.

This experience is suitable for wheelchair users.

Additional information

Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time; latecomers may be denied entry and no refunds will be issued.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The tour of the factory is not recommended for children under 14 years due to the emotional intensity of the experience.

The tour operates rain or shine.

Lockers or a deposit area may be available onsite for your belongings.

The salt mine, located about 14km from Krakow city centre, involves descending and ascending approximately 800 steps.
