This was my first time in Turkey, and I wanted an authentic experience, a real taste of the culture, not just a checklist of sights. Zeynep delivered exactly that. Her passion for the food and her culture came through in everything she did, and from the very start she made us feel like friends, not tourists on a tour. The food was delicious and abundant, I came with a big appetite and still couldn’t finish it all! She went above and beyond throughout, and I can’t recommend this experience enough, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Zeynep as your guide. 😊

We had a wonderful experience with Zeynep! The dervish show was truly nice, and her explanations made it much more meaningful and enjoyable. Went with my partner last night and honestly, we’re still talking about it at breakfast. The food stops were DELICIOUS (like, I never thought I’d crave pickled veggies but here we are lol). Our guide, Ipek, was super chill and shared loads about Istanbul’s history without making it feel lecture-y. The dervish ceremony was honestly mesmerizing—felt like I blinked and 40 mins had gone. Dinner at the end was a real family vibe, and we even got a little surprise dessert for my girlfriend’s birthday. Only thing: bring cash for some of the snack stands, not all take card!

Begin with the Mevlevi Sema ceremony, a 60-minute spiritual performance where dervishes whirl in a meditative rhythm accompanied by live Sufi music. The ritual symbolizes a journey toward inner harmony and divine connection. After the ceremony, head to a historic family-run restaurant where you’ll enjoy a traditional Turkish dinner featuring a variety of regional dishes, offering a complete 2.5 hours of cultural experience.

The entire experience takes approximately 3.5 hours; 60-min Whirling Dervishes performance & 2.5-hours of Turkish dinner.
