• Step-free access: The full route is not step-free due to stairs, steep sections, and narrow laneways.

• Best time to walk: Mornings from 8:00 to 10:00 or late afternoons are quieter and offer the best light.
• Museum openings: Susannah Place opens Thu to Sat 10:00 to 17:00, with one-hour guided house tours by advance booking.
• Observatory hours: Sydney Observatory grounds and exhibition are free Thu to Sun from midday into the evening.
• Cadmans Cottage: Cadmans Cottage is closed for conservation, so you will listen to that stop from outside.
• Bridge access: To walk onto the Harbour Bridge, use the Bridge Stairs off Cumberland Street above the Argyle Cut.
• Rocks Discovery Museum: The Rocks Discovery Museum is free and open daily 10:00 to 17:00, except Good Friday and Christmas Day.
• Customs House: Customs House at Circular Quay is free to enter and has a city model under a glass floor on the ground level.
• Opera House shows: Sydney Opera House guided tours and special experiences are available separately by booking.
• Badu Gili: You can watch the free Badu Gili evening projection on the Opera House sails from the top of the Monumental Steps.
• Extended walk: If you wish to continue, you can follow the path around Farm Cove into the Royal Botanic Garden.
• Temporary works: Tank Stream repairs may close parts of First Fleet Park, so you may need to follow fencing around to the quay.
• Opera House events: The Opera House forecourt can be busy during festivals, so stop wherever you can safely see the sails.
• Crowds and traffic: Circular Quay and Circular Quay West are busy, so keep to footpaths and watch for vehicles and cyclists.
• Lifetime access: Your access to the tour is valid for life, so you can replay or revisit the walk whenever you like.
