Visitar el Palacio de Versalles con un guía de la app de Headout estuvo excelente porque no tuvimos que hacer fila para entrar, el guía te proporciona tus pases de entrada, y ya adentro, te va explicando con todo detalle y de una manera amena todo lo referente a cada sección que se visita del Palacio. A mí esposa y a mí nos pareció una excelente experiencia por toda la información que se nos proporcionó, ampliamente recomendado.

Me gustó la explicación del tour en español. Pero me dieron tickets para los jardines de un día antes por lo que NO me dejaron entrar a los jardines con mis hijas y tuve que ir a buscar en la entrada a alguien de su compañía para pedir ayuda, perdí 2 horas buscando esa ayuda hasta que me reemplazaron los boletos . Esto no debe pasar . Casi pierdo el día en un viaje corto con mis hijas

La visita está muy bien planeada, primero te hacen un recorrido guiado por el palacio en si mismo y luego tienes el pasaporte para poder recorrer libremente los jardines y los aposentos que en ellos se encuentra, el Grand Trianon, el Petit Trianon y la aldea de María Antonieta. Solo tengan cuidado con los cisnes, les gusta robar comida jajaja.

La guía era súper preparada , utilizaba un lenguaje muy fácil para poder entender bien toda la historia, mi hija de 4 años estuvo atenta siempre por una hora y media!

The tour guide was very enthusiastic about Versailles and had a lot of interesting facts and stories to share. Sometimes it was a lot of info and too much for the younger crowd, but the older folks enjoyed it! We were there on Easter weekend and the palace was packed, which some found a bit overwhelming. The grounds were beautiful and the queue to enter only took a few minutes. The table-service restaurant in the gardens was pretty and the food was ok but pricey (the menu descriptions were a bit off - one dish was described as having several kinds of couscous but it looked like one kind of grain that was probabably bulgur, which is not good for people who need to avoid gluten). I'd recommend checking out the dining option where you order your own food from a counter - it looked like a much more economical and possibly larger menu. We didn't get to enjoy all of the grounds as we were with bored & lazy teenagers, but I'd say it would be easy to spend 1-2 hours wandering around. There are also extras such as golf carts, a small 'train/bus', and boating on a large pond. Fairly easy to get to by public transport but we took ubers.

I always think the whole guided experience is what changes your perception of a place. Sandrine was amazing. She had the experience, the knowledge, the enthusiasm. Sadly, her microphone or the headset in general were not matching perfectly. So most of the time I couldn't hear what she was saying. Especially considering that Versailles was full of people and groups. However, the experience and the few things I picked up were very interesting and had a great time.

Our guide was lovely and well informed so we enjoyed the tour. We were concerned that we arrived a couple of minutes before the meeting time of 10.45, but the party had already started leaving. We were lucky that we asked the party who they were and managed to join them in the nick of time. I would suggest you don't leave before the allotted time and also you give your tour guide a Headout ID flag to wave rather than just her umbrella.

Food and drinks are not permitted inside the palace.

Access is not allowed without a valid ticket or if you do not meet eligibility criteria for free entry.

Accessibility

Access to the palace is difficult for people with limited mobility; the experience is not fully wheelchair accessible.

Additional information

Note: The Passport ticket grants access to the Palace, the Trianon Estate, Gallery of Coaches, Royal Tennis Court, temporary exhibitions and the gardens. From 1 April to 31 October, it also includes entry to the Musical Fountains shows.
