Our tour guide was knowledgeable about the place and the history of the era. She was engaging and often times, I felt we were the only tour in the room, despite being an extremely busy day at the Palace.

Meet your guide at the designated meeting point and check in with your valid ID. Pass through security before accessing King Louis XIV’s private apartments, an area usually closed to the public. Your guide will lead you through an exclusive 90-minute tour.

Additional information

Valuable items and clothing cannot be deposited in left luggage.

Left luggage items should be collected at the end of the visit, before 6pm in the high season (April to October) and until 5pm in the low season (November to March).

To access your guided tour, you must present an admission ticket for the same day, in addition to your guided tour ticket (including visitors eligible for free admission).

The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

You’ll have access to a dedicated waiting line for the tour, so your wait time to enter the palace will be shorter than the regular line.
