At the XtraCold Icebar, we stepped into a frozen world where the drinks were cold and the excitement was on fire! It was a unique, unforgettable experience that turned an ordinary evening into an extraordinary memory. The Heineken Experience was the perfect follow-up, combining interactive attractions, fascinating history, great vibes, and, of course, a refreshing beer! Together, these two attractions gave us the best of both worlds: chilling in ice and celebrating beer culture. One freezes your memories in ice; the other gives you a reason to raise a glass! An absolute must-do in Amsterdam!

The tickets were easy to purchase for the time slot we wanted and the day we wanted. The tickets were readily accessable on our phone and had no issues in presenting them at the entrance to both museums. The museums were very well laid out and we could have spent so much more time exploring especially in the Rijksmuseum. Alas there were not enough hours in the day to see it all. So there is more to explore the next time we are in Amsterdam.

Getting started

Head to the Van Gogh Museum and show your ticket at the entrance for your selected time slot. For the Heineken Experience, bring a valid photo ID and arrive a little early; entry is strictly 18+.

You explore the museum at your own pace, following the collection through Van Gogh’s work and the people around him.

Do not bring handbags larger than A4 size inside the museum. You may be refused entry if you carry items larger than 45×25×25 cm, wheeled suitcases, or trolleys of any size.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

You can enter the museum at the time you pick during check-out. Visit at your scheduled time as it is a timed-entry ticket. Since the museum has limited space to accommodate all visitors, if you miss your time slot. Rescheduling is not an option.
