Great ride! Once we familiarized ourselves with the process of finding the correct train, we were happy to have the half-fair option. We have not used it for buses or boats yet, but plan to during our trip.

We used it for 8 days of travel - and it was so totally worth it. Buying on line or in the office at the Zurich airport was easy and cost effective. Just remember to carry it with you on paper or on your phone.

The truth is, the travel was an experience, the schedules are excellent, the train is very accessible, the service is excellent, we just had a great time.

A family of three adults used these half fare cards from Zurich-Sargens-Chur-Zermatt (viz Galcier Express) - Interlaken - Luzern and finally back in Zurich. They paid for themselves in two days and I can't imagine paying full price for the Zermatt and Jungfrau activities.

Thus far the pass has been very useful not only for discounts on trains but also for Trams. I am in Switzerland for 10 days and hope to recover the cost and more during that time. The photo below is of the Lauterbrunnen valley taken from the tram going up to Murren, which was half off.
