    Why does anyone go to see a major attraction without skip the line tickets? We walked straight in, bypassing a long line waiting and enjoyed the cistern. It is a beautiful interior with a nice mood changing scene lighting as you walk above the water. Magical!

    Being able to skip the ticket line was very good. Sadly, the audio guides just didn't work on either of the devices we had, despite them saying they had been downloaded. We had one excellent guide but one who just seemed bored!

    The smoothness of the whole process. I want to the booth, and told just to go to the entrance. Then a wonderful two hours spent admiring the majestic view and the gentle descent listening to the audio guide.

    The Basilica Cistern is amazing to see in person. I had no idea such a vast cavern had been right beneath my feet. Our tour guide was wonderful. Her English was perfect and she really helped us to appreciate the history of the place.
