Mount Teide: Cable Car Ticket & Audio Guide

Important Information

• Authorization to get to the peak of the mount is NOT included in the ticket. Guests must ask for this authorization at the National Park official website before the day of visit

• Please note that the audio guide is available and can be downloaded on an Apple or Android device and listened to using headphones

• Alternatively, you can collect an audio guide after paying a 50 Euro deposit, which can be redeemed once you return the device

• Teide Cable Car is located within a protected national park. Make sure to follow basic rules out of respect for the natural environment: do not litter or take rocks, plants, or animals. It is prohibited to make fire, loud noises, or to camp

• People with heart problems, pregnant women, and children under 5 are not allowed to ascend by cable car due to the risk that high altitude poses to their health. Consult your doctor before planning your visit or booking your Mount Teide Cable Car tickets

• People with any physical disability or motor impairment are not permitted to make the ascent by cable car, because of the potential risks if the vehicle has to be evacuated

• Bear in mind that in the event of the failure of the cable car system due to unexpected technical reasons, passengers already at the upper station will have to make their descent on foot and using steep mountain paths

Dress Code

• Be prepared for extremes in weather, both heat as well as cold, depending on the time of year in which you use your Tenerife cable car tickets

• Wear warm clothing and proper footwear

• Protect yourself from sunstroke

• Due to the elevated luminosity, wear sunglasses

• Take plenty of water on hikes
