What to expect
Carved into the Sicilian hills, Taormina’s Ancient Theatre dates back to the 3rd century BC and was later transformed by the Romans. Once a venue for Greek plays and Roman gladiatorial combats, it remains one of Sicily’s most remarkable and well-preserved landmarks, still hosting performances over 2,000 years later.
