Known as the ‘Golden Basilica’ for its 43,000 square feet of gold mosaics, St. Mark’s is a masterpiece of Byzantine art and Venice’s most iconic church. The basilica’s exterior features arches and turrets, while inside, biblical scenes and marble inlays tell centuries-old stories.
