Getting started

Begin at the meeting point in São Conrado, where you meet your certified tandem instructor and get matched with all flight equipment and safety gear. What to expect

Pedra Bonita and Tijuca National Park

Pedra Bonita is the legendary hang gliding ramp set inside Tijuca National Park, the urban forest that frames this flight. This is where you launch for your tandem hang gliding flight and start your 15 to 20 minutes in the air.

Features

• The tandem hang gliding flight of 15 to 20 minutes is operated by Thiago Ribeiro Lemos, with a certified tandem instructor controlling the glider, so no prior experience is needed.
• All flight equipment and safety gear are provided for you at the ramp, so you only need to focus on the experience in the air.
• While in flight, you pass over the Tijuca Forest, see Pedra da Gávea from above, and follow the curve of the Atlantic Ocean along Rio's coastline.
• Photos and video of your flight are included, capturing your takeoff from Pedra Bonita and the full glide until landing.

Pepino Beach in São Conrado

Pepino Beach in São Conrado is the sandy shoreline where your flight finishes. It sits below the cliffs of Tijuca National Park and forms the landing zone for hang gliders.

Features

• The flight ends with a landing right on the sand at Pepino Beach in São Conrado, so you touch down directly beside the ocean.
• After landing, you can review the photos and video of your flight that are included with this experience, showing your route from Pedra Bonita to the beach.
