Just a short stroll from stop #1 on the Red Route, the UNESCO site, Seville Cathedral, rises like a prayer in stone. Bypass the winding queues and step directly into its soaring naves, where golden light filters through stained glass and illuminates the world's most expensive altarpiece, a gilded symphony crafted by Pierre Dancart. Wander through 80 intimate chapels, each a sanctuary of art and devotion, before pausing at the ornate tomb of Christopher Columbus, the explorer who forever changed the map of the world. Then, make your way to La Giralda, the cathedral's 104-meter bell tower, originally a minaret from the Almohad dynasty. Unlike most towers, there are no stairs; just 35 gentle ramps designed for horses, allowing you to ascend with ease.
