    Getting started

    All three attractions sit inside the Parque Estadual das Fontes do Ipiranga, each with its own entrance and ticket scan point. Present your mobile voucher with a valid photo ID at each gate. Security checks are carried out on arrival. Trucks at Simba Safari depart once full.

    What to expect

    Walk through Brazil's largest zoo, where shaded forest circuits loop a central lake and connect open-air habitats designed around the Atlantic Forest. Explore at your own pace using the marked walking routes.

    • Fernando Costa Avenue: A 250-metre wooden walkway beneath native palms, above the Pirarungaua Creek.

    • Ninfeias Lake: Pink, yellow, and blue water lilies on one of the garden's most photographed lakes.

    • Bamboo Tunnel: A towering bamboo corridor that blocks out much of the city's noise.

    • Nascente Trail: A 360-metre accessible trail leading to the spring of the Pirarungaua Creek.

    • Terra Batida Trail: A 1.5km forest trail through native woodland to a scenic lookout.

    • Atlantic Rainforest Greenhouse: Native rainforest species and orchid collections, open weekends and holidays 10am to 4pm.

    • Hidrofitotério: A hidden 1947 aquatic garden with 80 plant compartments at the far end of the grounds, missed by most visitors.

    Wrapping up

    End your visit at Restaurante Bromélia Gastronomia inside the botanical garden, open daily 11:30am to 5pm for meals, or stop at the zoo's on-site food outlets before exiting the complex.

    • Bring a valid photo ID and present the mobile ticket at the entrance for scanning.

    • The safari truck has a roof but open sides. A light layer or hat is recommended on sunny or cooler days.

    • Re-entry is not permitted once you exit the zoo.

    • Feeding animals, drones, bicycles, and scooters is not allowed.

    Simba Safari

    • Private vehicles are not permitted on the trail. All visitors must use the park's safari trucks.

    • Feeding the animals is strictly prohibited during the tour.

    São Paulo Botanical Garden

    • Re-entry is not permitted after leaving the garden on the same day.

    • Pets are not allowed, except guide dogs on duty.

    • Food, drinks, smoking, and picking of plants are prohibited inside greenhouses, the museum, and trekking trails.

    Jardim Botânico

    • The annual pass is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, with entry permitted once per day. The pass is nominal and non-transferable.

    • The Atlantic Rainforest Greenhouse, Botanical Museum, and orchid nursery open only on weekends and holidays, 10am to 4pm. The Cerrado Greenhouse is currently temporarily closed.

    • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
