Begin your underground journey from Via delle Sette Chiese, where your guide validates your ticket and leads you down into the labyrinth. You’ll skip the confusion of navigating restricted zones alone — these catacombs can only be explored with an authorized guide.
What to expect – Catacombs of Domitilla
Among the oldest and largest catacombs in Rome, Domitilla stretches over 17 km with more than 150,000 burials carved into volcanic tuff. It’s a silent city of the dead, and a vivid record of faith’s evolution under persecution.
