From Sofia: Rila Monastery Guided Tour

What to bring

• If you plan to use the smart audio guide, bring your own headphones and ensure you have an internet connection.

• Bring sunscreen to protect your skin from UV exposure, as you'll be walking outdoors for extended periods.

• Consider bringing a jacket for cooler weather, particularly in the mornings, since the monastery is located at a higher altitude.

• Do not use flash photography inside the monastery or Boyana Church to preserve the sacred environment and artwork.

• Refrain from smoking within the monastery grounds.

• Leave pets at home; animals are not permitted on the monastery premises.
