A great performance of a modern farce. The actors were uniformly wonderful. Although my wife and I have limited knowledge of Spanish, the actors, through their physical expression and non-verbal cues conveyed the essence of the play. The set design and the execution of multiple and sometimes simultaneous stage effects added to the enjoyment.

Watched this play for the second time. First time was in Malaga, this time wanted my son to see it. It is hilarious, very well organized prompts and the actors make it a one super funny play to enjoy

An Olivier & Tony Award-winning comedy hit from Mischief Theatre, this play-within-a-play whodunnit is packed with slapstick blunders and perfectly timed disasters.

Presented at the Amaya Theater, this acclaimed comedy is the "perfect recipe for absurd slapstick" (The Telegraph) with a proven record of making audiences laugh worldwide.

The Spanish adaptation is produced by SOM Produce, NEARCO, Cobre, and Olympia Metropolitana, which are also the teams behind hits like Billy Elliot and West Side Story.

Expect collapsing sets, missed cues, and misplaced lines, book your tickets to The Play That Goes Wrong in Madrid to witness mayhem at its best.

The story

At the Amaya Theater, a drama society attempts the grand premiere of The Murder at Haversham Manor. What should be a classic whodunnit unravels into chaos—props fall, actors forget lines, and every cue spirals out of control. The accident-prone cast battles on, determined to finish despite disaster after disaster. Will they make it to curtain call, or will everything truly go wrong?
