Strictly no photography or video (with or without flash) is permitted after sunset during the Penguin Parade to protect the penguins.

For the Penguin Parade, penguins arrive at sunset each evening, with typical arrival times ranging from 8:30 to 9pm in summer (Dec–Feb), 7 to 8pm in autumn (Mar–May), 5:15 to 6pm in winter (Jun–Aug), and 6:30 to 8pm in spring (Sep–Nov).

All revenue supports conservation, research, and wildlife rescue at Phillip Island.

Please note: On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, both Churchill Island and the Koala Conservation Sanctuary will open 2 hours later than usual, at 12pm. If you’re planning a morning visit, be sure to adjust your itinerary.
