Am cumpărat bilete pentru a vizita Castelul Peleș din Sinaia. Aplicația e ok, friendly. Mesajul referitor la primirea biletelor într-un interval de 2 ore e cel puțin derutant, mă întrebam dacă reușim să prindem turul. Am mai vizitat castelul 30+ ani în urmă, a fost o reală plăcere să îl revăd. E o bijuterie pentru România. Deși a fost o dimineață ploioasă, erau foarte mulți vizitatori, străini și români.

An outstanding experience. Well worth the trip. You can reach it easily by train from Budapest, but allow enough time for the journey (and for unexpected rail delays). It is a bit of a walk from the station, but the walk also takes you past the casino and the monastery.

The ticket booking and purchasing process was fine. Using the ticket was fine. The audio guide only provide information about the exterior and interior of the castle, but didn't have a station-by-station narrative to follow while walking from one area to the next. So, that should be more clear in the description.

Was able to secure a good time slot with Headout for our visit and it was fuss free as the tickets were delivered straight to our phones. Must remember to have data connection or download the tickets earlier.

La guida, Irina, molto competente ci ha spiegato la storia del castello e dei vari passaggi segreti che si trovano all' interno. Il castello dal canto suo è davvero bellissimo, specialmente l'ingresso principale. Consigliato, vale il viaggio da Bucarest.

Meet at the big fountain in front of Peles Castle’s main entrance. After a quick ticket check, you’ll be guided inside to begin your self-paced visit through the castle’s accessible floors.

What to expect

Peles Castle

Built in the late 19th century, Peles Castle is a landmark of Romanian heritage, set against the Carpathian Mountains in Sinaia. This royal residence is celebrated for its blend of Neo-Renaissance architecture and rich historical significance.

Features

Ground floor access: Wander through grand halls and salons that once hosted Romanian royalty, featuring intricate woodwork and stained glass.

First floor access: View the royal apartments and private chambers, each filled with period furnishings and decorative arts.

Castle grounds: Enjoy views of the Carpathian peaks and manicured gardens surrounding the castle, offering a scenic backdrop to your visit.

What’s not allowed

Flash photography is not allowed inside the museum.

Pets are not allowed in the museum.

Do not enter the museum with food or drinks.

The castle is not wheelchair accessible.

Aditional information

Photo taxes are not included in the price and can be purchased directly at the door for 35 lei per person (approximately €7.50).

Everyday, between 12:30pm and 1pm, a break is introduced for disinfecting surfaces and ventilating exhibition spaces.

During the visit, please maintain silence and decorum, since this is a cultural institution.

To make your visit easier, you can leave clothes, umbrellas, backpacks or other personal items in the museum's wardrobe.

A decent outfit is expected when you visit the museum.

The Peles National Museum does not manage parking for visitors.
