Getting started

Pick-ups begin at 10:00pm from your hotel, where you meet your expert guide and board a climate-controlled vehicle. After a safety and comfort check, the group departs the city and travels to the Aurora Viewing Lodge. You arrive at the lodge ready for a late-night viewing session that runs until drop-offs between 3:00am and 4:00am.

Your destination is the Aurora Viewing Lodge, a dedicated base for watching the Northern Lights through the late-night hours. Time here is focused on staying comfortable between outdoor viewing sessions while you watch the sky for the Aurora.

Features

Viewing focuses on the Aurora Borealis, with your guide helping you identify when the Aurora appears and suggesting the best moments to step outside for clear sky views. You are encouraged to bring a camera or smartphone so you can capture your own photos of the Aurora.

Lodge accommodations are provided so you have an indoor space to rest and warm up during breaks in the Aurora activity. This setup allows you to manage the late hours more comfortably than standing outside for the entire night.

An expert guide travels with you for the full experience, from hotel pick-up to hotel drop-off. The guide shares practical tips for dealing with subarctic temperatures and helps you plan your time between indoor lodge comfort and outdoor viewing.

Round-trip transportation are included, with a climate-controlled vehicle used for both the journey to the lodge and the return to your hotel. During the night, snacks and hot drinks are available so you can stay warm and energized while you wait for the Aurora to appear.

What to bring

Mobile or printed ticket confirmation.

Warm layered winter clothing, insulated boots, gloves, and a hat.

Children under 5 years are not permitted on this experience.

Pets are not allowed.

Moderate mobility is recommended due to snowy outdoor surfaces around the lodge.
