5 Day Island Icons Day Tour Bundle - Cradle Mountain, Wineglass Bay, Port Arthur, Bruny Island, and Hobart Highlights. Duration: 5 days. Departure City: Hobart - Hotel pick up and drop off at Selected CBD Hotels. Days of Operation: Starts Wednesday, finishes Sunday. This 5-day bundle brings together some of our most popular day tours so you can experience the best of Tasmania without the stress of planning. Explore Bruny Island, Port Arthur, Wineglass Bay, Cradle Mountain, Richmond, kunanyi/Mt Wellington, and Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. From coastlines and convict sites to forests, wildlife and local flavours—you’ll experience the true variety of Tasmania.
Day 1: Cradle Mountain. Start your day early with a drive from Hobart to Cradle Mountain, stopping in Campbell Town for coffee and a snack. On arrival, enjoy up to three hours exploring Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park. Choose from a variety of walks, ranging from relaxing alpine strolls to more challenging hikes for avid walkers. Walk the iconic Dove Lake Circuit or explore the Enchanted Forest and King Billy Pine Walks, home to ancient pines, streams, and native wildlife. Time permitting, visit Pencil Pine Falls or Waldheim Chalet. Later, stop in mural-filled Sheffield before arriving in Launceston around 6:00 PM with CBD hotel drop-off.
Day 2: Wineglass Bay. For the avid hikers, you’ll have up to 4 hours to explore Freycinet National Park at your own pace. Choose from an array of trails, including the iconic Wineglass Bay hike or the challenging ascent to Mt. Amos, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views. Here, you can soak in the beauty of this world-renowned beach. Don’t worry about going hungry; you’ll have the option to grab a packed lunch to enjoy during your adventure. If you prefer a more relaxed experience, our knowledgeable guide will lead you on a scenic walk to the Wineglass Bay lookout, where you’ll take in the stunning views. This moderate 40-minute hike uphill is well worth the effort. After soaking in those magnificent sights, we’ll descend for a leisurely stroll around the Cape Tourville Lighthouse, taking in the breathtaking coastal scenery. Enjoy a refreshing swim at Honeymoon Bay. With its orange-capped granite rocks, crystal clear waters, and pristine white sands, Honeymoon Bay offers the perfect spot to refresh. To top off your day, you will have the opportunity to taste some of Tasmania's freshest seafood at the Freycinet Marine Farm (own cost). Indulge in local delicacies like oysters, prawns, and crayfish, and while you're in the area, why not sample one of the region's award-winning wines?
Day 3: Bruny Island. Experience Tasmania’s ultimate natural beauty spots on a wilderness adventure. Journey to Bruny Island, arguably one of Tasmania’s best day tours and immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery of world-class beaches, rugged coastlines, mesmerising lookouts, and award-winning local produce. Explore the island’s unique environments with easy walks through temperate rainforests, encountering native wildlife along the way and indulging in the finest local produce, including award-winning oysters, fudge, honey, and seafood. With its diverse offerings, Bruny Island is the perfect destination for nature enthusiasts and food lovers alike.
Day 4: Hobart Highlights. Our adventure begins at kunanyi/Mt. Wellington (1272m), where you’ll enjoy Tasmania’s pristine air and stunning panoramic views of Hobart. As we descend, your guide will take you on a loop through Hobart’s city highlights, sharing stories behind its historic landmarks and vibrant culture. Next, explore Salamanca Market (Saturdays only). We then journey through the Coal River Valley wine region, stopping at Wicked Cheese for a complimentary tasting. In historic Richmond, admire Australia’s oldest bridge and church, with time for lunch and optional tastings at Drink Tasmania. Finally, visit Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary to meet kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, and other unique Aussie wildlife.
Day 5: Port Arthur & the Tasman Peninsula. Experience the best of Tasmania’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, Port Arthur, and the stunning Tasman Peninsula with our comprehensive tour. Immerse yourself in the rich history of the Port Arthur Historic Site, which includes a captivating harbour cruise. Spend the Morning indulging in delicious local produce with visits to the Chocolate Factory (own cost) and Lavender Farm (own cost). If history is what you came for, enjoy the full 4 hours exploring the historic site. If you are up for one more experience, then you can hop back onboard the bus after 3 hours for a trip to the Remarkable Cave. Just a short 8-minute drive away, you will be greeted with the spectacular vista of Maingon Bay. Sit back, relax, and let us take you back in time on this fully guided journey to experience some of Tasmania’s most significant convict history.
What you need to know: This tour bundle is made up of daily tours that operate independently. The order of the tours may vary depending on availability and your start date, though Days 1 (Cradle Mountain), 2 (Wineglass Bay), and 4 (Hobart Highlights) are fixed. The full 6-day experience begins every Wednesday, so please plan your arrival accordingly. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included from selected locations, but pickup times and exact locations may vary based on where you’re staying. Accommodation is not included in this bundle. We offer pickups from most hotels in and around Hobart and Launceston. If your accommodation isn’t listed, and you're staying within the city, your designated pickup point will typically be within a 100–300 metre walk.
