Went with my partner and another couple for our Sahara adventure. The drive from Fes is LONG (like, 9+ hours kinda long), but our driver Youssef kept us entertained with stories and random music playlists. It’s bumpy, and the van’s AC was iffy at times, but honestly, the desert sunset made up for it. The camel ride was a bit shorter than I expected (maybe 20 mins), and I felt like we were kinda herded along, but it was still surreal. The tents were cooool, super clean, and I slept surprisingly well. Pro tip: bring a scarf or buy one before the desert, bc sand gets everywhere. Food was decent, nothing fancy, but the music around the campfire was a highlight. Would’ve been 5 stars, but one stop for lunch was a total tourist trap (hella pricey). Still, all in all, wouldn’t trade the experience.

My girlfriend and I did the overnight desert trip and it was EPIC! From the moment we left Fes, our guide (Ilyas) made sure everyone was comfy and hydrated (he even had extra water bottles for us in the van). The camel ride into the dunes at sunset was straight out of a movie. I was a bit nervous about sleeping in a tent, but the beds were super soft and there was even a power plug for my phone. Dinner was sooooo good, and after we all sat around the fire for drums and singing. Woke up early for sunrise and it was worth the lack of sleep. Only downside: bring a jacket, desert gets freezing at night. 10/10 would do again.

Honestly kinda disappointed. The van was late picking us up, and then the driver barely spoke to us the whole way. Camel ride was meh—felt rushed and the camels looked tired. My tent was okay, but not as clean as I’d hoped (hair on the pillow). Food was just okay, nothing special. And we had to pay extra for water at the camp, which felt weird. The desert itself is beautiful but the whole thing felt like it was just about moving people through as fast as possible.

If you want to see the Sahara, this is a way to do it, but be prepared. The bus was packed (like, no empty seats), and the ride is looong. We stopped at a few places but always felt rushed. Camel ride = cool, but also kinda uncomfortable after 10 mins. The tents were fine, but no hot water for showers. Breakfast was basic (bread, jam, coffee). The desert sunrise was GORGEOUS though, worth all the hassle. Would I do it again? Maybe with a private group next time.

Went with friends and had the BEST time. The drive is loooong, bring snacks! Our driver, Ahmed, made random stops for monkeys (actual wild monkeys!) and views. The camel ride during sunset was dreamy, and our guide took so many pics for us (just don’t expect to get WiFi in the dunes, lol). The camp was cozy, beds super soft, and the dinner was a feast – tagine, couscous, oranges. The staff played drums and got everyone dancing. I forgot a toothbrush and they found me one, which was nice. Bring cash for tips and small shops. Would recommend for friend groups or couples.
