Visiting the Napoleon's Tomb at Les Invalides was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris. The monument is incredibly impressive, with its massive red quartzite sarcophagus placed beneath a beautifully designed dome. The architecture and attention to detail create a solemn and majestic atmosphere. The museum surrounding the tomb adds a lot of historical context, making the visit interesting even if you're not a history enthusiast. Everything is well maintained, and the exhibits provide fascinating insights into Napoleon's life, military campaigns, and legacy. I would recommend allowing at least 1–2 hours to fully explore the site. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or simply looking for one of Paris's iconic landmarks, Napoleon's Tomb is definitely worth a visit.

Eine etwas andere Art, Geschichte zu erleben. Tolle Lightshow in historischem Ambiente. Anfangs dachten wir, dass der Invalidendom völlig überfüllt wird, aber die Besucher verteilen sich gut und man findet immer ein Plätzchen zum sitzen und staunen. Die Musik passt wunderbar und ist von der Lautstärke her völlig okay. Hat sich gelohnt!

Très beau spectacle dans un cadre inattendu. Les effets des lumières étaient très bien ciblés sur les différents partis du monument. Bien se positionner autour du tombeau de Napoléon pour apprécier les effets. Je recommande ça sort des habitudes 😉

The way you ask questions about our experience is very limited , let's start there ! I did not think it was very well organized, the prices for adults are very expensive for what it is . Although the show and sound were well put together , I did not find it as magical as people were stating in past comments . You must make this affordable for locals at least . It's the type of show to see once and move on . It was no audio guide at all so I am even more supposed that you ask those questions but the only way for me to state what o really think about the show

What to bring

Bring a valid photo ID to match the name on your booking if requested at the entrance.

Keep your ticket with you until the end of your visit, as you may be asked to show it to access different areas.

Wear warm clothing, as the environment inside the Dôme can be cold.

What’s not allowed

Large bags, suitcases, and oversized luggage are not allowed inside the venue for security reasons.

Baby strollers are not permitted.

Food, drinks, and smoking are strictly prohibited on the premises.

Accessibility

Visitors with motor disabilities can enter on the Place Vauban side.

People with mobility impairments can borrow a wheelchair (subject to availability) at the ticket desk on the Esplanade des Invalides and Place Vauban sides. Proof of identity is required to be left at the reception desk during your visit.
