What to bring

• Opt for sturdy, comfortable shoes, as the tour includes walking along uneven cobblestone streets in the Old Bazaar and uphill paths near Krujë Castle.

• Bring a refillable water bottle, particularly if visiting between June and September, when daytime temperatures are warmer.

• Carry a light jacket or sweater if traveling between October and March, since Krujë and Mount Sari Saltik are at higher elevations and tend to be cooler than Tirana.

• Use sun protection such as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, as many viewpoints and castle areas offer limited shade.

• Keep some Albanian lek or small cash with you for snacks, bazaar purchases, and museum entry tickets payable at the venue.

What’s not allowed

• Avoid bringing large suitcases or bulky bags, as the bazaar streets are narrow and the tour includes multiple walking sections.

• Do not climb on castle walls or restricted structures, since the fortress and surrounding buildings are protected heritage sites.

• Refrain from touching museum artifacts, as many displays inside the Skanderbeg Museum and Ethnographic Museum are delicate historical objects.

Accessibility

• This tour is not wheelchair accessible, as exploring Krujë Castle and its museums requires navigating steep cobblestone streets, uphill paths, and staircases.

• Visitors with limited mobility may find the terrain challenging, particularly while walking through the Old Bazaar and moving between castle sites.

• Strollers may also be difficult to use due to uneven stone pathways and narrow interiors inside historic buildings.
