We are from Denmark and had taken the German tour. There was a lot of fast talking, so we recommend choosing the English one, if youre not german. However, the pace matched the atmosphere and content, so it was exciting the whole time. Skilled actors, suitably creepy and funny. The way they involved the audience was fun. It’s worth experiencing if you’re in Hamburg. It only takes an hour, which is just right for the experience.

Die Buchung über Headout war unkompliziert und die Ankunft im Hamburg Dungeon war problemlos. Der Aufenthalt im Dungeon war super spannend, gruselig, aber auch humorvoll unterhaltsam. Man wird mit in die Geschichte einbezogen und kann sich durch die Schauspieler sehr gut in die Zeit von damals hineinversetzen. Wer also zu Besuch in Hamburg ist, sollte auf jeden Fall den Dungeon mit in der Planung aufnehmen. 😊

Wir haben das Hamburg Dungeon besucht und waren begeistert. Die Geschichte Hamburgs wird auf sehr kreative Weise durch lebende Schauspieler und gruselige Inszenierungen erzählt. Die Mischung aus Humor und Gänsehaut ist hervorragend gelungen – mal lustig, mal schaurig, aber immer unterhaltsam. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns, wie viel Aufwand und Liebe zum Detail in den einzelnen Shows und Räumen steckt. Für rund 1,5 Stunden Unterhaltung fanden wir den Preis absolut angemessen. Einen kleinen Kritikpunkt haben wir jedoch: Die letzten beiden Stationen sind unserer Meinung nach deutlich gruseliger und psychologisch intensiver als der Rest der Tour. Daher würden wir diese Abschnitte nicht unbedingt für Kinder unter 12 Jahren oder sogar 14 Jahren empfehlen, auch wenn dies offiziell möglich ist.

Unser Besuch im Dungeons war ein Geburtstagswunsch einer lieben Freundin. Ich bin gar kein Gruselfan, aber es war wirklich toll und lohnenswert. Das Nervensystem hatte arg zu tun, ich hatte teilweise auch richtig Angst, aber unterm Strich bin ich total froh das ich da war. Sehr berührt haben mich die Stadtgeschichten, das Personal waren unglaublich freundlich und die Schauspieler haben wundervoll ihren Teil der Zeitgeschichte präsentiert. Danke liebe Dungeons-Crew. Schade, dass wir etwa 20 Minuten nach dem pünktlichen Einlass im Vorraum herumstehen mussten. Sonst eine nette Führung mit vielen Überraschungsmomenten.

Choose between a German or English tour and experience 11 live shows where professional actors and immersive special effects introduce you to notorious characters and events from Hamburg’s history.

What to expect

Dark history, live shows & thrilling rides

Move through atmospheric sets as stories of plague, piracy, executions, and other dark episodes unfold around you. Descend into the Dungeon aboard the Elevator of Doom, encounter Hamburg during the Plague, and see if you can save pirate Klaus Störtebeker from execution.

This activity is not suitable for children below the age of 10.

Children under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (over 18).

Due to special and lighting effects, Hamburg Dungeon might not be suitable for people with severe nerve conditions.

English shows are available very limited only from Fridays to Sundays.

The Hamburg Dungeon is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
