I have good feedback, and bad feedback. Firstly, the good feedback. I loved the story, the atmosphere, the effects, the direction, and the cultural elements. What I didn't like was that there were too many sad stories - the focus on Malacca's history was lost at a certain point, and it just became depressing after that. Also, there was too much marketing emphasis on the construction of the venue, the director, choreographer, etc. While we value their contribution, we don't to be shown their names both at the start and at the end of the show. We want our memories to be about the show itself, not the people behind it - it takes away the magic of the show.

Encore Melaka is a large-scale live production that brings the city’s cultural stories to life inside a purpose-built rotating theatre near its UNESCO Heritage Sites.
