We had a great group of 20 people on our trip to Douro. Cuber our guide was fantastic, very friendly, helpful, gave lots of information and funny too. Expert driving from Carlos. Lucked out with the weather for breathtaking views. Loved everything about it, especially the cruise from Pinhao.

what an amazing tour! Andrea, our guide, was so friendly an accommodating. The day was long, but there were stop offs, sites to see and facilities on the way. Lunch was lovely and they even arranged a completely vegan meal for me that wasn't just bread or potatoes. The wine was delicious, but it would have been nice if more was offered. 1 bottle of red and 1 white to share between 8 on a wine tour is a bit stingey. The port tasting later on was amazing and our speaker was so friendly and informative. Water was provided as it was 40 degrees and we were moved into the shade as much as possible. The boat ride at the end was stunning and really peaceful. Brilliant way to spend the day and I highly reccomend this tour

We recently took the Douro Historical Tour. We can’t recommend this tour enough! It was interesting, exciting and a lot of fun! All thanks to our wonderful guide Annabela . She made us all feel like a good friend. She was knowledgeable and answered all our questions with patience. Cudos to our driver Treitas who maneuvered those sharp steep mountain roads with ease. I highly recommend this wonderful tour.

On Wednesday, Feb. 21, we did the Douro tour to Pinhao. Tiago Santos, our guide picked us up at our hotels and kept a lively informative patter throughout our trip to our first stop at Amarante where we visited the church and walked along the old Romanesque bridge. After this brief stop, we continued through the countryside to the city of Lamego where we visited the Nossa Senhora dos Remedios Shrine at the top of a hill. A visit to the beautiful church there was completed with a walk down the steps to the city square. We then had a delicious Portuguese lunch before continuing on to Pinhao where we took a 45 minute cruise on the Douro river. Ending our stop in Pinhao with a tour and tasting at the Roeda Wine Estate - Croft- Taylor’s Group. Throughout the day, Tiago answered questions and told us many interesting facts about the port wine industry and the local area, pointing out sites of interest as we travelled. Before heading back to Porto, he drove up some fascinatingly narrow roads to a stunning lookout over the valley. It was an indication of Tiago’s desire to give us all a rich and varied experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him as he was not only knowledgeable but extremely personable as well
