The customer service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was very friendly throughout the entire experience. From check-in, where they made sure I was in the right place, to the host (Melicia) who was welcoming and answered all of my questions about the cruise. The manager also came by a few times to ensure everything met expectations, which I appreciated. Our waiter (Malik) was attentive, friendly, and kept us informed throughout the experience. The DJ was a highlight as well, honoring music requests from each table, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Even during off-boarding, the staff remained warm and welcoming with a kind send-off. The food was good, and overall, I felt the experience was well worth the price

I enjoyed my time on the water, on the Chicago river. The crew was very kind and nice to me and I felt very well cared for and safe as a solo female traveler. It was amazing to take in the sights on top of the boat, although very cold and chilly so I definitely recommend to bring warm attire as on top of the boat is ten more times amazing then inside when taking in the breathtaking views. I am not much of a big city person but even the Chicago city line had me in awe taking pics. Drinks and food were delicious, I had the north star and 3 course meal. I had been looking for dinner in the water and glad I choose the odessy out of all to attend.

Cruising down the river and looking up at spots like the Wrigley Building and Willis Tower just hit different from the water. You really see the details, the mix of old-school and modern, and how everything fits together. But the best part? The vibe. It’s calm, a little breezy, the city reflecting off the water… and you lowkey feel like you seeing Chicago from a whole new angle—even if you’ve lived here your whole life. If I had to sum it up real simple: It felt like a history lesson, a skyline view, and a peaceful reset all in one.

My husband and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary on the odyssey boat and we had an amazing time. From the time we got on the boat everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was amazing. We took pictures outside and after dinner we danced the night away. It was a first time for both of us and we will definitely be back to do it again. I would like to say thank you to the staff and dj for making our special day even more special. Can't wait to do it again.

We had an amazing time! We were bringing friends from Vegas who were experiencing their first trip to Chicago. They were impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the diverse music, and the food. Kudos to the corn and potato chowder–it's delicious. We danced, sang, and made fun memories.

What to bring

A valid ID is required for guests aged 21 and above to access the onboard bar.

It’s recommended to carry a light jacket or wrap, as the open-air deck can get breezy.

What's not allowed

Bringing outside food or beverages on board is not permitted.

Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited on the cruise.

Additional information

Boarding begins 30 minutes prior to departure from Monday to Saturday, and 45 minutes before departure on Sundays.

Guests should arrive at least 45 minutes early for check-in and boarding, and allow an additional 30 minutes for parking and reaching the boarding location.
