Our tour guide on the bus and in Salzburg were excellent, and the bus driver made us feel very safe on the road. It was a nice visit to Hallstadt and Salzburg. We considered taking the train and figuring it out ourselves but I'm glad to have had a guided tour.

Hallstatt was such a memorable and beautiful place. Our guide also gave us very informative and interesting explanations throughout the tour. We really enjoyed the experience.

The bus was right on time at every location, good organisation but I would have appreciated a little more than 30 minute stop at Melk, and a bit shorter in Hallstatt but maybe that's just me. The guide Olga has a strong accent and it was hard for me to follow what she was saying in English. Also the content could be a little more structured and engaging to keep the attention of the group. And finally, in Salzburg the listening devices were not working properly, many people in the group could not listen to the local guide.

A full-day journey from Vienna lets you enjoy alpine landscapes, explore Salzburg’s rich history, and still have free time to discover the city at your own pace.

Meet your guide in central Vienna and board a comfortable bus for the scenic drive to Salzburg. Make sure to arrive early, as the bus departs on schedule.

Once you reach Salzburg, your tour guide will be ready to take you on a guided walking tour of its most popular tourist sights. The first stop is the stunning Mirabell Palace, where you might recognize a few famous locations from the movie The Sound of Music. In the garden of the palace, you will spot the place where Maria and the children sang “Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So.” Marvel at the fountains and the steps as you reimagine scenes from the movie. Next, you will notice the horse pond where Baron Trapp sang the iconic Edelweiß song as he bid farewell to Maria.

Lake Wolfgangsee: Stop at this turquoise lake surrounded by mountains, perfect for photos and a short break.

Salzburg Old Town: Explore Salzburg’s UNESCO-listed Old Town on a guided walking tour covering Mozart’s birthplace, Mirabell Gardens, and baroque squares.
