Explore Tuscany in the afternoon on board an original Italian Vespa 50cc.
Meet our team and fellow adventure travelers at our office located in the heart of the Chianti region to receive a test drive conducted by your tour leader, ensuring the safe operation of the Vespas before setting off on a leisurely 2-hour tour in the afternoon, when it's cooler.
Start the Vespa ride on quiet and scenic roads through the rolling hills of Chianti, where some of the most famous Tuscan wines are produced, and fall in love with the vine fields, cypresses and Tuscan rural houses as the sun goes down. Don't worry, we will stop many times to take pictures along the way!

Keep riding through the beautiful Tuscan countryside and stop for a small wine & olive tasting to try the famous local Chianti wine before you come back to the starting point to leave the Vespas and say goodbye to your new friends.

What to bring

Drivers must bring original physical documents: a valid driving license, passport (no copies), and a credit card (no prepaid, debit, Amex, or bancoposta) for a €500 deposit per Vespa.

All participants should wear closed-toe shoes, as sandals, flip-flops, or heels are not permitted.

Wear comfortable, breathable clothes such as jeans, leggings, or casual trousers, and avoid short skirts or very loose clothing.

Bring a light jacket or raincoat, as it can get windy or rainy in the Tuscan countryside.

Arrive at the Tuscany on Wheels office in Barberino Tavarnelle with all required documents.

What's not allowed

Sandals, flip-flops, and heels are not allowed; only closed-toe shoes are permitted for safety reasons.

Accessibility

The experience is not recommended for people under 1.60m (5’3”) in height.

The maximum recommended total weight per Vespa is 160 kg (353 lbs).

Additional information

Previous scooter, Vespa, or motorcycle driving experience is required for all drivers, and a driving test will be conducted before departure.

Drivers must be at least 18 years old, and passengers must be at least 15 years old.

The tour operates with a minimum of 4 participants.

If you are unable to drive safely, you may be offered the option to ride as a passenger or not participate, but no refund will be provided in this case.

In case of heavy rain, the tour may be conducted by minivan instead of Vespa.

Cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the tour receive a refund minus a 10% fee; cancellations less than 24 hours before the tour are non-refundable.

Pick-up from accommodation or Poggibonsi train station is available upon request but is not included in the tour price.
