Abbiamo preferito affrontare questa avventura senza guida ed onestamente lo consiglio. Vero: una guida aiuta e soprattutto descrive dettagliatamente il complesso di Giza, ma non ritengo possa essere necessaria. Gustare la vista delle Piramidi, il loro interno e della Sfinge nel loro contesto paesaggistico è una esperienza da vivere assolutamente con o senza guida. Il percorso all'interno del museo è chiaro e le descrizioni di ogni singolo pezzo in mostra è accurata e riassuntiva. Ci è piaciuto ogni singolo secondo passato fra queste Meraviglie ❤️

Wir waren bereits frühmorgens an den Pyramiden, was dringend zu empfehlen ist. Am späteren Vormittag ist alles komplett überlaufen. Auch beim Inneren der großen Pyramide muss man schnell sein, wir hatten das Glück komplett alleine dort drin zu sein, als wir allerdings wieder rausgingen, gab es schon eine riesige Schlange. Nachdem der Aufgang und Abgang drinnen sehr eng sind, empfiehlt es sich, gleich frühmorgens ins Innere der Pyramide zu gehen.

It was beyond fantastic! I read about Egyptology since I was about five years old, as soon as I could read, it was about mummies and king tut. And to see it in person was just an unbelievably wonderful experience. By the way, what did one sarcophagus say to the other sarcophagus? Don't call me mummy!

My visit to the museum was truly wonderful. I was really impressed by how well-organized both the museum and the exhibitions were. The special section dedicated to King Tut was spectacular, and the Solar Boat Museum was absolutely enchanting and beautiful. Additionally, there are lovely spots to rest and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Additional information

To participate in the Discovery Challenge, participants must have a smartphone to play. Children under 12 years need to be accompanied by a guest above 16 years.

The Discovery Challenge takes place daily at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm, with an additional slot on Saturdays and Wednesdays at 6pm. The starting point is at the information desk in the Grand Hall.

Regular hours (except Saturday and Wednesday): The GEM Complex is open from 8:30am to 7pm, Galleries from 9am to 6pm, with last entry at 5pm.

Saturday and Wednesday: The GEM Complex operates from 8:30am to 10pm, Galleries from 9am to 9pm, with last entry at 8pm.
