I have no real complaints about the Alilaguna service per se but people should know in advance: It's a long walk from the arrivals area to the embarkation point and back. There are no toilets on the (properly, heads, I guess!) so go before you get on. The queues are long and I almost didn't get on the boat to Venice -- but, happily, I did (it helped that I was a single). There is little ventilation on the boat so it was hot and stuffy. It's ideal for Murano, where I stayed, as it's the first stop there and the last one back. But you may have to plan to take an earlier one you might not otherwise need to do in case you don't get on. There were only a few seats left when I went -- at 06:40 am -- so I got lucky but had I been denied boarding on the next boat (an hour later at that time of day) I'd not have made it on time. Some people were allowed to keep their luggage with them, taking up seating space. But I arrived safely in both directions so that is the important thing. The pricing seems fair.

Wir waren mit dem Service sehr zufrieden. Die Buchung war schnell und unkompliziert, und die Tickets haben während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts in Venedig problemlos funktioniert. Besonders praktisch war, dass wir die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel flexibel nutzen konnten und dadurch viele schöne Orte gesehen haben. Alles war gut organisiert und einfach zu verstehen. Wir würden Headout jederzeit wieder nutzen und können den Service auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Bonjour, nous avons utilisé le pass ACTV 3 jours, il est trés pratique, il couvre tous les déplacements, terrestre, maritime (les + sympas). La validité démarre au premier transport, il permet la liaison vers Mestre FS, mais pas la liaison entre l'aeroport Marco Polo et Venise, à utiliser sans modération 🙂👍

This 7 day pass was the best and smartest thing I did in Venice! This is my first visit to Venice in 40 years, and the ACTV pass made my trip easy and so worthwhile! I will definitely return to Venice sooner in the future, and I will always buy the wonderful ACTV pass!

Everything was great, it was easy to use the vaporetto never had to wait for it more than 5-10 minutes and we visited most of the islands around Venice, another good thing that we had bus pass as well so we didn't have to pay for the road back to our hotel in Maghera.

Easy to find the boarding area of the Alilaguna blue line. No possibility for nice views as promised during the purchase of the ticket. Everyone was obliged to sit down inside the covered area and the windows were closed so that people do not get wet.

This was the best way to travel around Venice and surrounding islands. I took the bus from the mainland into Venice and then the water taxis/boats to Murano and Burano. The only confusing part was where to get the actual physical ticket. I just purchased a 75 minute bus ticket to get me to Venice, made my way to where the train departs and redeemed my ticket there. I think once you get it from the machine it is validated or it may need to be scanned on the machine to get validated. After that it works at the boat and bus booths. I chose to ride the bus over taking the train since it goes to the city center and there was a bus station right outside of my hotel. Phone maps have also become really easy to read to show when the next transportation should be arriving. In most cases both the buses and water boats were within 5 minutes of their arrival time every time! Only one time did I have to wait for another water boat but it was nearing late afternoon and everyone was heading back to Venice.

Il servizio e buono per i passeggeri, io avevo programmato un giro in bicicletta che includeva il vaporetto da punta sabbioni a Chioggia, in una corsa sono disponibili solo quattro posti bici, ieri 15 settembre ho dovuto aspettare il traghetto successivo con un' attesa di 45 Min. Avevo anche prenotato ma ho constatato che e difficile programmare i tempi, mi permetto di dire che ci vorrebbero più posti e magari un po' di flessibilità in più da parte degli addetti.

Your tickets are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

One-way tickets are valid only for one single-way journey. You can either travel to the airport or from the airport.

Round-trip tickets must be kept securely and used within 30 days from the date of first validation.

In case of fog or bad weather, service may switch to a car transfer to Piazzale Roma.

Service staff is available at Desk 71 (Marco Polo Airport, first floor).

Vaporetto ACTV Water Bus & Mainland Bus Pass

Tickets must be validated before boarding ACTV public transport.

You can use your pass anytime within 24 months from the date of purchase.

Your validity period begins upon first use of the pass. Once validated, you can use your pass for the number of days selected during purchase.

Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.

Please display the same at each ticket redemption point along with a valid photo ID.

Vaporetto ACTV Water Bus Pass & Mainland Bus Tickets

You will receive an ACTV Public Transport Services Voucher via email. Exchange this at the Venezia Unica ticket office at Piazzale Roma and redeem a paper ticket with your voucher.

You can also use the Venezia Unica self-service ticket machine present at the ticket office.
